An interview with the author.
Traci Baxley: In its simplest form, social justice is about human rights. The guiding questions become: How do we create human dignity for people, whatever their iden ies? How do we create space for more compassion and kindness for everybody?
The whole premise of my book is to help create a world where your children are just as important to me as my kids are to me. The goal is for all of us to invest in everybody's children. Your political views don't matter. Social justice parenting is about nurturing your child's natural curiosities and empathy to foster a family lifestyle of kindness.

What is funny, exactly?
If this is your priority then you should relocate to a genous nation.
Pretty idealistic.
Humans are hard coded just like most mammals to put our own young before that of anyone else's. Everyone can say they give a about everyone but when it comes down to it, most parents will do anything for their kids, regardless of how it might negatively affect anyone else. It's normal.
It gets better. This is the opening line of the article.
"(CNN)When her teenage son, upset that he'd forgotten to do a homework assignment, ran from their home one morning, Traci Baxley panicked. Instead of just worrying about his feelings, she feared for his life. A Black kid on foot in a predominantly White Florida neighborhood, wearing his school hoodie -- had she given him enough tools to keep him safe?"
Dr. Traci Baxley is an Associate Professor and the Coordinator of the Social Foundations: Multicultural Education Program Area. She received her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with an area of specialization in Literacy.
Whats wrong with it?
Increasingly common mindset for educators in these liberal arts programs in America. Maybe she can link up with that other teacher to let her son do a dance for homework credit.
So she's wrong to be worried about her son's safety at night, alone, wearing a hoodie, which white people have weaponized whenever a black person is wearing it, in a predominately white neighborhood? Unfortunately black parents have to have conversations and prepare our children for situations such as the one the author is describing.
She personally chooses to live in a "predominately white neighborhood".
Other than being a poor parent for deflecting from her son's failure, she's a POS for scaremongering to forward her career and she is most likely a racist. As I said an increasingly common trait of liberal art educators in America. And they are attempting to infect STEM.
Have black men been killed for running in white neighborhoods?

- "Let's tay frosty, people."
- "Aliens"
Black man also died from falling meteorite.
These are the types of people spending hours daily with your kids in a classroom. And your tax dollars are paying for it.
So you're saying yes, black men have been killed for running through white neighborhoods.
Correct?
How lame you and your stupid ing thread are![]()
Evidently yes.
A simple yes or no will do.
So you're saying yes, black men have been killed for running through white neighborhoods?
"This" being what exactly?
Be specific.
That isn't an explanation of what was wrong.
"this thing is common" doesn't illustrate what the thing is.
Fixation on skin color
Socialism. Which I support in genous nations.
Ok.... that is good/bad because _________ ?
Your support depends on skin color.
Quite the fixation you got there.
It is indeed idealistic.
And I agree for the most part.
We are though, sentient, and capable of overcoming bias, and adapting behavior.
