I bet he'd be crushing it the G League right had we drafted him.

I like Primo he has a ton of upside, but the Spurs are so guard heavy right now. The Front court is clearly the weakest group on this team. Sengun would be a great fit on this team but besides the Luka pick the Spurs have done really well drafting in the 1st round recently so let's see how it plays out.

Sengun was one player I actually watched a lot of film on pre-draft and I was convinced the Spurs should take him should he fall. I'm very happy with Primo and think he has a boatload of potential, so no stress. Would have been great to have both.

Anyone trying to downplay Sengun's rookie season is either trolling or hasn't watched him.

Exstatic flip flopping over his use of “counting stats” when it suits him, then a botched interpretation of advanced stats evidently as irony to save face, but really you seem to have to win every argument even if it kills your credibility. But maybe you’re trolling. You know your Spurs so I don’t know what your goal is other than attention, I guess.

Houston Chronicle already saying the kid is "looking more and more like the franchise cornerstone."

Cat ain't even 19.5 yrs old. Pop would say he had at least 2 more yrs to get over himself to earn the almost 19 min/game that he's playing already.

It's laughable incompetence the way PATFO develops players nowadays. And aside from TP, it always was. It just got obscured by the ridiculous talent of the Big 3.

I too like Primo but he ought to be getting NBA minutes, now! Sengun certainly is and Houston (Coach Silas) is playing a lot of rookies yet are only a single game back of the Spurs. Primos development will waste a year he could have been learning from and co.peting against his future compe ion. It's so predictable.

Sengun is a fantastic talent. I wanted the Spurs to draft him. But Primo is so promising too. Its not a miss. With Poeltl and hopefully Collins recovering well and playing upto potential plus Eubanks.. the center spot is set for the Spurs. Most/all of us underestimated Primo and thought it was a stretch/ failed Hail Mary attempt to get a top of the lottery talent in the bottom of the lottery. But from what we have seen so far, Primo's potential is tantalising and Wright got it right. I expect in a couple of years to see Primo going as good guns as much as Sengun.

The Rockets have done better record-wise when they played Gordon, Wood, Tate and Theis more than when they relied on Green, Porter Jr, Sengun and Christopher (in the initial games).

Theis has become unplayable with Wood. Green started to look better once they took Theis out and had more spacing. But Sengun just needs to get more playing time which he will

Is this Sengun guy actually good? I saw a couple of clips of him and looks pretty meh. Slow as and can't shoot. Two glaring defects in today's NBA. He seems like the kind of guy that will get abused on the defensive end for years to come.

We should all give an apology and a bottle of champagne to Pop if the Spurs manage to flip Forbes for an asset.

That move would literally make the entire forum eat crow, and like it!

What about that mute who came to the Spurs with no jumpshot and was developed into a yearly MVP candidate?

I think he's clearly going to be a center in the NBA. I don't see him being able to play much as a 4 due to lateral quickness limitations. For a center, he's undersized. Surprisingly, that hasn't affected his ability to block and alter shots much as he has really good instincts and positioning. However, he has struggled to rebound as a center. Also, he gets taken advantage of when he switches onto quicker players. Offensively, he's displayed a lot of skill, primarily doing center-type things, DHOs, post-ups, but he's also been very good off the dribble. He would fit in great on this Spurs team on offense. I think his ability to play in the NBA is clear but his size as a 5 and lack of lateral quickness is going to limit his ceiling.

I think he's going to be solid- the above mentioned issues but his lack of lateral movement and being a bit undersized is going to hurt him. He's definitely a foul machine 4th in per 36 minutes. Of course that can get better with coaching- of course part of this is due to lack of lateral quickness

Except PATFO developed the guy from a 3/4 tweener who shot like a ten year old girl into a yearly MVP candidate. Conversely you want to see a guy with a lot of talent, athleticism, and great motor who got ty coaching and never developed into anything look at Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. PATFO can be accused of a lot of things but poor player development isn't one of them. They're elite when it comes to player development.

Empty stats in a 35 point loss for a 9-19 team. Do you think he could do that for a 10-17 team? Probably not.
