TBH Keldon hasn't added one thing to his game since he "broke out" in the bubble tbh...

I don't completely blame him though because he does not have ANY of the skills you need to be a modern power forward in todays nba and we clearly try and play him like he is a power forward...he is always matched up against someone who is taller, longer, and more athletic than him...

Keldon is probably the best example of our roster construction problem where we got guys like him and McBuckets getting time at the 4 when they are and always have been natural 3's...

We are not going to be an even average basketball team until we figure out the 4 position...Zach Collins is going to be big for this team one way or the other...
Not only our 4, back up 5 is also our issue. We always like to play undersize average rebounders at our 4 and 5. Even our best rebounding big man (Poeltl) is only average at DR. Have seen it loads of time when our 4 and 5 box out, the opposing teams just rebound the ball over them.

The lack of competent of our 4s and back up 5 also leads to poor interior D and requires the whole team to collapse to prevent penetration leading to opponents have loads of open 3s

Landale is a big who knows how to play like a big. Eubanks thinks basketball is a jumping contest. Thad does his Diaw impression but isn’t anything close.

Landale is shorter than Eubanks yet provides more interior presence simply by the fact that he barely jumps and knows how to use his body.

Isn't Landale listed at 6'11 and Eubanks at 6'9? I do not have a chance to see them side by side yet.

At least that was on the road. Entering a 4th quarter trailing 110-83 AT HOME, against Charlotte WITH NO LAMELO, is ing indefensible. A new low.

Measurements are off, IMO. Landale looks like a Sengun-sized center (maybe slightly bigger) while Eubanks looks physically imposing like Javale Mcgee.

Like I said, terrible defense. No reason he should be stretching his body vertical when Hayward isn’t even rising up. If he stayed low to the ground, he wouldn’t get pushed off like that. Awful defensive principles.

Vassell is averaging 24 minutes per game. That is nowhere near enough. Especially considering that Keldon and Doug are both significantly flawed players.

Stopped watching after the 1st quarter, was there any positives from the game? Looked like Murray didn’t show up tonight looking at the box score

I like Doug, I think he’s important for the team but I would like to see Vassell start over him

To solve the 4 issue, they have to find a player who strikes a perfect balance between finesse and strength. Charlotte has all these wide yet suitably lengthy forwards who would have a field day if they went against a shot blocking lanky type forward everyone fantasizes about. The next 4 has to be a guy who is tall, but not too tall that it impacts his lateral quickness and also strong enough to bully guys occasionally. Obviously has to be a shooter, too.

Think there’s a big forward we could trade Thad for, even if it’s just a flier? I’ve always felt felt Kevin Knox might be a good reclamation project but I haven’t watched much of his play lately

If they could get Cam Reddish, they should. Not that I have strong feelings about Cam reaching his potential, but there’s a flier that makes sense since he was roommates with Tre Jones. The “building block” four will likely come via the draft.
