Questions raised about $75 million funneled into Trump's struggling DC hotel

a new report issued this week criticized the General Services Administration (GSA) for not investigating a $75 million cash infusion that Donald Trump and his family used to prop up their struggling Washington, D.C. hotel.

Trump's lease of the Old Post Office from the federal government that became Trump International was likely illegal.

Noting that the GSA claimed in 2017 that the Trump family was in complete compliance with the terms of the lease,

Painter claims the new report paints a portrait of sloppy work that allowed the family retain possession of the hotel despite clear conflicts of interest.

the $75 million the Trumps invested in the hotel after an initial $200 million to refurbish the property.

The bottom line is that every dollar that went to the corporation that operated the hotel enriched Trump.

Trump obviously received a benefit from the federal government’s lease of the Old Post Office.

a GSA administrator appointed by none other than Trump himself,"

the GSA "failed to examine ethical conflicts and cons utional issues posed by then-President Donald Trump’s refusal to divest from the property, a new congressional report says,”

    General Services Administration

did not track foreign government payments to the hotel or identify the origins of more than $75 million

    i
n loans made by Trump and his family to shore up its troubled finances,"

Trump presidency that he was in violations of the emoluments clause that should have prevented the former president from cashing in while in office,

the GSA, the landlord of the Trump hotel lease, simply looked the other way,"

McConnell, to his credit has never hid from the fact that he is a RINO. We just don't want to hear it, so, we pretend not to, just like we did with Bush2. These people are the same tired old bags that have been leeching on us for decades under this RINO guise and continually get away with it.

McConnel is a two-timing bas who wants to see President Trump disappear from the the face of the earth, so, he can get back to business-as-usual. That lousy .

Terrified And Running Out Of Options Trump Sues NY AG To Stop Trump Organization Investigation

he sued NY Attorney General Le ia James to block her investigation into the Trump Organization.

In the filing, Trump’s legal team claims that investigations launched by James’ office

“are in no way connected to legitimate law enforcement goals, but rather, are merely a thinly-veiled effort to publicly malign Trump and his associates.

“Her mission is guided solely by political animus and a desire to harass, intimidate, and retaliate against a private citizen who she views as a political opponent,” the do ent adds.

If Trump’s argument against James sounds familiar, that’s because it is.

Trump used the exact same argument in his executive privilege lawsuit,

where Trump argued that the 1/6 Committee lacked a legitimate legislative purpose to conduct an investigation.

AG James responded by telling Trump that he is not above the law,

“The Trump Organization has continually sought to delay our investigation into its business dealings and now Donald Trump and his namesake company have filed a lawsuit as an attempted collateral attack on that investigation.

To be clear, neither Mr. Trump nor the Trump Organization get to dictate if and where they will answer for their actions.

Our investigation will continue undeterred because no one is above the law, not even someone with the name Trump.”

Donald Trump is 'freaking out' -- and with good reason

Trump is in an awkward place with his legal problems where he's quickly running out of options.

Katyal explained that the major crime is the 18 US Code 1505, obstructing an official proceeding.

"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to learn Donald Trump today is, to use the technical legal term, freaking out," he mocked.

"He is freaking out because of the revelations that you just mentioned a moment ago.

Also because there was a decision ten days ago by the federal court in Washington, D.C. by

a Trump appointee and what the judge said is that

one of the insurrectionists was guilty of violating this statute obstruction of an official proceeding, the count of votes on Jan. 6."

the insurrectionist clearly intended to try and stop the count and that it doesn't require a lawyer proving the person did or didn't intend violence.

    With or without violence,

the person acted with corrupt intent to stop the counting of votes.

That, he explained, is the manual for prosecuting Trump.

"That is what he is worried about and why you see all of these moves by Trump and his allies today,"

The Insurrectionist Trump Announces He Will Give a Speech at Mar-a-Lago on 1/6

Trump, who incited an insurrection against Congress when, motivated by his lies, a mob of his supporters stormed the United States Capitol on the false premise that the election had been stolen, announced he will give a speech at his Mar-a-Lago estate on January 6, 2022, the one-year anniversary of the attack.

“Why isn’t the Unselect Committee of highly partisan political hacks investigating the CAUSE of the January 6th protest, which was the rigged Presidential Election of 2020?” Trump said in his statement announcing the event.

The statement continues by noting that Trump plans to reframe the November 2020 election as “the insurrection”

remember, the insurrection took place on November 3rd, it was the

completely unarmed protest of the rigged election that took place on January 6th.”

Trump just admitted that he knows he's in trouble

Frank Figliuzzi believes he noticed another sign. Figliuzzi believes that with an unhinged tirade against Democratic prosecutors and law enforcement, Individual 1 all but admitted that he knows he’s directly in the legal line of fire.

In case you missed this latest Trump tantrum, read it here, courtesy of Trump spokeswoman/sockpuppet Liz Harrington.

    NEW!

    President Donald J. Trump:

"All the Democrats want to do is put people in jail. They are vicious, violent, and Radical Left thugs. They are destroying people’s lives, which is the only thing they are good at. They couldn’t get out of Afghanistan without disgracing our... pic.twitter.com/eSqKpLdidW

    — Liz Harrington (@realLizUSA) December 18, 2021

Many saw this as yet another case of steaming hypocrisy from Trump. Remember, this is the same man who actually encouraged those “Lock her up!” chants at Hillary. But Figliuzzi saw something different: a time bomb about to go off.

when Trump goes off like this, it almost always means that “he’s learned something he doesn’t know”—and doesn’t like it.

In this case, Figliuzzi suspects that Trump has learned that “something … is about to happen to him” and he’s “lashing out.”

Specifically, Figliuzzi thinks that someone told him that either federal prosecutors, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, or New York state Attorney General Le ia James are “getting closer to him.”

Legal experts explain why Michael Cohen is one of the most important cases against the Trump administration

the importance of Michael Cohen's lawsuit against former President Donald Trump's administration and Attorney General Bill Barr.

According to them, it's among the most important cases dealing with the behavior of the previous White House.

Cohen is alleging that his First Amendment rights were violated when he was told that

the only way he'd be released from prison to house arrest during the COVID outbreak was if he signed over his rights.

The Justice Department told him that

if he gets to go home he can't appear on television or write a tell-all book.

Cohen sued, winning the case with a judge who said,

"I find that the purpose of transferring Mr. Cohen from furlough and home confinement to jail is retaliatory,

and it’s retaliatory because of his desire to exercise his First Amendment rights to publish a book."

"I've never seen such a clause in 21 years of being a judge and sentencing people. How can I take any other inference but that it was retaliatory?"

it seems like another petty Trump inner-circle battle,

the reality is much more serious,

can occur to any of us if we are targeted for exercising our rights in a manner which offends a corrupt president."

"A [POTUS] being a bad guy and

then being able to use the Bureau of Prisons and the Justice Department

to go pluck his enemies out of their homes,

shackle them and throw them in jail without legitimate cause,

that is a blaring red siren,"

Trump Administration Overpaid Farmers By $3 Billion, Unevenly Distributed Aid

After President Donald Trump's administration imposed tariffs, causing international disputes that hurt farmers,

the U.S. Department of Agriculture's methods for calculating the amount of damage for each county was faulty,

resulting in overpayment and inconsistent payment,

corn producers received around $3 billion more than the USDA's estimate of trade damage to corn,

while payments for soybeans, cotton and sorghum farmers were below the estimated trade damages.

"Though corn yields are higher in the Midwest and West, corn producers received an estimated average of $69 per acre in the South, $61 in the Midwest, $34 in the Northeast, and $29 in the West,"

Trump USDA picked winners and losers in their trade aid programs and left everyone else behind,"

"Making larger payments to farmers in the South than farmers in the Midwest or elsewhere, regardless of whether those farmers actually experienced a larger loss, undermines our future ability to support farmers when real disasters occur."

Despite Trump's claims, he told Fox News that the U.S. should not boycott the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing to avoid making the America look bad.

“I watched Jimmy Carter do it, and it was terrible,” Trump said of the U.S. boycotting the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. “Hurts the athletes. There are much more powerful things we can do that — much, much more powerful things. That's not a powerful thing. It almost makes us look like, I don’t know, sore losers.

    “Donald Trump will be indicted for racketeering, tax-fraud, bank-fraud, and insurance-fraud in New York;

he will be indicted for attempting to interfere with an election in Atlanta; and

he will be indicted for sedition in Washington.

Trump will be convicted in all three cities by the testimony of his closest associates.

The New York Attorney General, Leticia James, has subpoenaed Donald Trump to be deposed in a civil fraud investigation.

It appears that prosecutors intend to indict Trump in both civil and criminal cases.

Attorney General James has been working closely with The Manhattan District Attorney who empaneled the 1st Grand jury last May to hear evidence of the Trump Family’s criminal activities in New York.

This Grand Jury, (empaneled by retiring Manhattan District Attorney, Cyrus Vance,) indicted the Trump Organization—(of which Trump and his 3 eldest children are officers)—and

also indicted the Trump Family’s Chief Financial Officer.

The Trump Organization and its CFO were indicted for Tax-Fraud, Grand Larceny, and other felonies.

Since July, this Grand Jury has been busy hearing testimony from a parade of Trump employees.

It is not yet known which of these employees have flipped and agreed to testify against their boss.

Before the end of Vance’s term on December 31,

this Grand Jury is expected to indict multiple employees, officers and members of the board of directors of the Trump Organization—

including personal indictments of Donald, Ivanka, Junior and Eric Trump.

In early November, a 2nd Grand Jury was empaneled in Manhattan to investigate the difference between the value Donald Trump reported for each property on his tax filings and the value he claimed on the same property with insurance carriers.

The newly elected Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, will lead the prosecutions of those indicted by both the 1st and 2nd Manhattan Grand Juries.

Alvin Bragg has a successful history of holding the Trump Family responsible for fraudulent activity

including a principal role in shutting down the Trump Family Foundation after the Trumps “redirected” Not-For-Profit cash gifts donated to fight childhood cancer to Trump’s political campaign coffers.

A Grand Jury in Fulton County, Georgia empaneled to hear

evidence that Donald Trump led a criminal enterprise to interfere with the counting of ballots in Georgia’s November 3, 2020 elections will end Trump’s Presidential aspirations.

    Fulton County District Attorney,

Fani Willis has a recording of Donald Trump committing the felony.

She will put Brad Raffensperger—and every other Georgia Official that Trump pressured to change the vote—in the witness chair.

She will subpoena Lindsey Graham, and each of Trump’s other co-conspirators.

Most will flip and testify against Trump to avoid prison.

Those that choose to avail themselves of their 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination, will be immunized by the court and directed to testify.

It will not take long for Trump to be indicted in Georgia.

The indictments in Atlanta and New York will be followed by other criminal indictments.

The District Attorney in Westchester, New York has opened a criminal investigation into Donald Trump’s finances at his Westchester golf club.

Working with two former Trump insiders, the Westchester District Attorney has uncovered what is believed to be a Million Dollar Insurance Fraud.

The Congressional investigation of Trump’s attempt to overthrow the government on January 6, 2021, and

Scotland’s investigation of money laundering brings

the number of Donald Trump’s known criminal investigations to five.

Prosecutors are preparing to indict Donald Trump in Atlanta, Manhattan, Westchester, Edinburgh, and Washington, D.C.”

Trump’s 2024 playbook is straight out of Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’: Yale historian Timothy Snyder

an alarming report on "the clear and present danger of Trump's enduring 'Big Lie.'"

Yale University history professor Timothy Snyder noted Adolph Hitler used a similar strategy.

"Part of the character of the 'big lie' is that it turns the powerful person into the victim.

And then that allows the powerful person to actually
exact revenge, like it's a promise for the future,"

"The lie is so big that it reorders the world.

And so part of telling the big lie is that

you immediately say it's the other side that tells the big lie.

Sadly, but it's just a matter of record, all of that is in Mein Kampf."
