So if Keldon’s 3 point shooting is here to stay, what stops him from being a highly promising prospect that’s worth keeping? His average defense? Lack of playmaking? Mid range shot? He’s only 22…
Primo plays up to his compe ion. Could care less what he does in the G League.
Is KJs three here to stay? Wow
Has Matt Bonner been dismissed?
Fab Oberto is so much better I'm hoping . . .
(And Fab's actually willing to live in SA while working for the Spurs, such commitment.)
Lack of size tbh. His best position is PF but he just doesn't have the size to play it and lacks the lateral quickness to play SF.
Still, his improved shooting will raise his floor quite a bit. Can still see him being an all star caliber player despite his limitations.
Who knows? Maybe tonight was a preview of things to come? He played wing tonight with McDermott and KBD on the floor with him and he seemed to do just fine. Yes, yes, against the worst team in the NBA, but still…
tre jones 11 AST vs only 1 TO / 2 PF
Really impressed by him. We should lock him down as the backup PG for the next decade.
Not if he doesn't improve his 3pt shooting.
Did not manage to see the game. Seen White and Poeltl has played on 15mins are they rest for tomorrow game or injured?
Put him on whatever DjM and KJ was on
Keldon and his 3 point shooting. What a turnaround. He still doesn't seem like a star yet but honestly with so many good but not great (yet) players on the team, and the unselfishness in passing the ball, maybe he doesn't need to be a "star" this season if we keep winning games like this. It's a good problem to have.
Lol.
I'm more mad at Pop for not giving Landale the light of day for like, 25 games, than I am at anything Primo-related this season. I'd love to see him get even more G-L experience once it resumes, and then get back to the Spurs once the G-L season ends (I read somewhere that Austin isn't likely to make the playoffs there) and get more consistent minutes. If tonight was a preview of things to come, it's a great future for him.
Anyone hear why just two refs
One ref out w/ corona?
I think the only thing is $$ tbh and whether the role the Spurs envision for him aligns with the expectations of his own game.
Although dissimilar players, a Jerami Grant situation may loom, where they feel their talents and price match up to a pseudo number one option and another team feels exactly the same way.
Too bad this game
Really a poor product.
Corona ruining the product.
I can be plenty mad at both tbh. Zero reason for Forms to be getting minutes over Primo.
You can see three things Primo has improved just from getting additional, consistent reps. from the G-League rather than spot duty with the main club:
Defense, Knowledge of the Spurs system (and from various positions too) and Ball Security.
I love that his dribbling seems more precise without losing his flair for advanced ISO development by being reeled in. This was something I feel Lonnie struggled with (and still does to a great extent).
I believe in a playoff series, his athleticism gets exposed. That's my view.
You absolutely can, and absolutely zero. That was straight up bull , especially when literally every single time Primo comes into the game for Forbes, he changes the game on both ends. Unreal how short a leash Pop has his rookies on.
The Spurs had eleven players score at least 8 points. And none of them were Murray (didn't play) or White (only scored 7). Madness.
Tre 11 assist in 21 minutes wow
T E A M
this is a team and I love it!
