Welp looks like Suns are signing Bismak Bimbyo. Wonder if they got tired of waiting on a Thad deal.

Oh no we're missing out on paying Saric to sit out the season.

Suns owner is an idiot. Gotta go all out when you got old Chris Paul with a championship window about to slam shut again.

Thaddeus Young is anything but the definition of “going all out”.

I mean doing a trade for a playoff rotation player instead of hoping to get lucky on the buy out market. Bucks went “all out” to trade for PJ Tucker who helped the Bucks win a ring last year.

Biyombo is a band-aid while Ayton and McGee are out.

I wouldn't do it because of Shamet's bloated extension, but I could see the Spurs being interested in something like Young, Forbes, Eubanks for Saric, Shamet, Smith and a '24 2nd.

Christian Wood is sulking in Houston and might be on the trade market. Doesn’t sound like he is over himself to be a Spur, but Thad could be involved in a multi team trade for him.

CW is a guy who’s always put up counting stats on bad teams. Not a fan. His advanced stats are trending down for the second straight season. Hard pass.

Well, when you can’t sniff the court even in these blowout losses you know your season is over.

Nothing has changed. That is likely getting bought out unless he can be packaged in a deal that actually improves the Spurs. No one is just going to give the spurs a 1st for him and the Spurs shouldn't take back a bad contract for another low first round pick. I'd rather have the capspace.

Heard on NBA Radio on Sirius today that Atlanta GM was making noise about needing to make a trade before the deadline. Eddie Johnson thought he was saying it to light a fire under the team inferring that he may not be serious about making a trade. Another report said they want to ship a couple of guys out in return for a single player. Cam Reddish and Galinari were mentioned. Thad could be a good veteran presence.

Funny thought, but I wouldn’t do anything with the Chicago pick until seeing what Lavine does this summer. If he bolts, he takes both a floor spacer and plus defender away. They would definitely take a step back, and DeMar’s contract is up in 2024. That team could be absolute crap by the summer of 2025.

Isn't that pick top 10/top 8/top 8 protected for 2024-2026? If so, Chicago tanking hard and fast wouldn't be good for us. The best the Spurs could hope for is a pick around #11-12 (the Vassell/Primo range).

Honestly Spurs should be willing to throw the max at Lavine this summer.

Throw the bag, torch the Bulls, make the pick more valuable. I like it.

Not me. The spurs will only have 1 bag to throw, and I am not confident that Lavine is a guy I want on a max. Yes, someone will pay him, but I am not sure that he is a championship piece. Rather throw said bag at Ayton.

Why? He didn't sign an extension at any time. if he wanted to stay, that was the play.

Pretty sure his extension would have been way lower than what his max will be.
