They are admitting they are useless now. Feel misinformed?
You have no clue how these viruses are spread.
    Totally useless...
The virus is spread by droplet/aerosol. You are telling the board a mask is absolutely useless against this mechanism.
a hand does a partial job. You still dont get this is situational using a known mechanism.

for the fifth or sixth time, if you wanted to get the virus (even after boosted/vaccinated) how would you go about it without extraordinary measures?
    can you tell us.

I will give you mine. Get is a small enclosed room without good ventilation unmasked around a number of infected people for a good period of time. Breathe deeply as they spray away. And people are astounded these coaches in football and players get it. Like they never have meetings in small crowded rooms...
They watch film go over tactics on and on.... They are famous for being locked up. (There is a widely circulated story about Denver LB Von Miller farting noxious gas and trying to drive everyone nuts when some coaches would not let them leave)

Now ask yourself how you would go about it while wearing an N95? Same way.

    Why is this so difficult?

Darrin keeps railing about zero COVID policies that don't exist while demanding all masks meet his zero COVID standard.

Dying isn't the only significant public heath dimension of COVID. You seem to be blind to that, though.

Dying isnt the only significant public health dimension of Influenza.

Lets shut down the country to stop the Flu

the flu is endemic. covid is not, at least yet. so, the former does not pose the same threat to overrunning our healthcare system at this current time. this, of course, could happen with the flu in the event of a severe enough strain. our hospital's ER is currently swamped, btw, and that is never a good thing.

covid is hyperendemic. and i can only assume you are referring to local and mandated shutdowns only, because there are plenty of 'shutdowns' taking place. salud.

So sad. I just don't understand why they won't wear masks and stop the spread.

    couldn't hurt.

can you think of other non-medical interventions that might have helped?

well thanks for the tautology but that wasn't what i was talking about. my point was that, in the present time, the flu does not compare well to covid-and not just because of some aspects of pathogenicity.

Maybe don't fire half your staff and cut hours for many others like my cousin has endured the past yr at the hospital he works at. He's vaxxed so he won't be getting fired but "overwhelmed" is almost as laughable as "jobs created" with this admin in the WH and pol losers in the Med field.

    They are both endemic viruses.

We will have to live with them sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Not sure what else you are expecting. Do you reallynthink its possible for us to shut down the virus? How?

    This aint Hollywood.
