who is the guy that said Gilgeous-Alexander is better than DJ again?
He was before this year. They are about the same now, but DJ is on a way better contract

I could have sworn an announcer said Andrew Wiggins, not Aaron and I am googling and frantically trying to find out who was sent to GS from OKC.
I'm having the same damn issue, keep thinking "wait why is Wiggins in OKC?!". Players should be forced to 1-on-1 upon sharing a surname - the winner gets to keep it

Let’s hope all of Lonnie’s future auditions for Spurs tenure don’t go like they are tonight…

Ya it looks like he more interested in his teammates. Watching the show

Would have be an abomination on Defense but having McBuckets and Bertans in a lineup would have been something to behold if both were “on” at the same time…

Not sure why some posters want to “get out of his contract”. He’s a reliable shooter and is not a major defensive liability like how past Spurs shooters were: Forbes, Belinelli, Mills. He does not hurt the Spurs’ financial situation at all.

He is Forbes at 3x the price. He actually has the tools to play decent D just only seems to hustle on that aide of the ball when motivated. His contract was probably a slight overpay, especially 3yrs guaranteed. With that being said, and my disdain aside, he is only half a season into a new situation, coming off injury/covid and dealing with an overall challenging environment.

Why has Lonnie stopped taking that 1 dribble mid-range when he's run off the 3pt line? He was on fire with those for a few games a while back.

it's ridiculous to compare McDermott to Forbes. McDermott is not a good defender, but he's nowhere near Forbes level. You can easily hide him and he can defend at least decently. His offball movement is superb, Forbes does not have that. He's also a way better finisher at the rim, something Forbes can't do at all.

Only gripe is his oft-injured trait but the man can shoot. And Patty shouldn't be on that list. I'd trade eubanks, Bates, and the next 10 Dleague wannabes to have Mills still here

yup, Spurs won't be able to run the same motion offense if they would replace him with a better PF. That's why it's important for Vassell to learn how to make these cuts.
Yeah I don't think Vassell will ever be that style of player. You're just going to have to try to have McDermott or a similar player in the offense. Seems like there were times where Belinelli did the same sorts of things. If anything I hope that Joe Wieskamp becomes that type of player. I feel like we'll probably try to groom him to replace McBuckets.

On the other hand, Murray continues to excel. And the glimpses we get from Vassell, gotta wonder if we get a massive year 3 jump from him.

In a game where even Drew Eubanks is getting to show off. Lonnie playing like a puss.

He is a taller Forbes. I’ll concede he moves better without the ball. Other than that he is a taller Forbes and height is quite important in this game.
