My hope is that Pelinka somehow creates enough cap space to keep Malik Monk this summer. He's been a mini microwave for us. I can't believe MJ let him walk.
Here's what I think will happen with Russ:
1) he's in LA for the rest of the season - for better or for worst
2) Vogel will see in first couple quarters to see if "good Russ" or "bad Russ" shows up. This will determine how much he plays in crunch time. He actually benched Russ in the OT vs the Bockers which was a shock.
3) Russ will execute his $47 milli player option in the offseason. But by then it is a huge expiring contract that should be attractive to a small market team that wants to put butts in seats and financial flexibility for the following season (think about Kwame for MVPau for example).
The Russell Westbrook experiment has been about 60% bad, 40% good. The bad stands out due to the Lakers spotlight. I personally would trade him for John Wall and be done with him but Rob Pelinka don't have the stones to do it.

Russ should be coming off the bench. Manure did it. LO did it. Why not Russ?![]()
Russ should be playing for his Laker career tonight. If Holiday dominates him in a Bucks win/blowout, he better be off my squad by Thursday. Enough's enough with this dude.![]()
& therein rests the problem that can't be hidden and won't go away,,,GIGO with [these players.] They're not serious about their profession and hence their goal.
I want to hit a/the winner(s) in a deadline acquisition(s), but I'm only fooling myself, there ain't any. Especially when said acquisition(s) will arrive to a massive cancerous tumor in James. He'll metastasize in said acquisition(s) and the doom will concentrate.
Oh Rockets fans want it too lmao
Non issue cuz we suck
I don't know what's funnier between the implosions of the Lakers and Nets. But losing to a Portland that has no backcourt anymore... and really no frontcourt either?

Kobe rolling in his grave at that performance
Without Lillard, McCollum and westbrook. How?
Will Lebron go to Miami for the all star break and then miraculously come back for a 16 game win streak?
They tryna bend us over for the only asset we got: 2027 1st runder
Lakers should have kept the bubble tbh
Agreed. At least keep Caruso![]()
