Spurs being super busy, apparently talking to Charlotte for a Poeltl deal.
Who will the next whipping boy for Spurstalk be?
Spurs being super busy, apparently talking to Charlotte for a Poeltl deal.
Yup that was pretty hustling there
So that George Hill, turned to nephew, then Demar = Keldon, Poeltl, now Dragic and a FRP?
No he’s going to be bought out.
I'll take it.
I would love that Charlotte deal!
I respect these moves. Looks like GM Wright is in charge. Now they’ll find a nice landing spot for Lonnie. They’ll take care of him.
I was wondering if the Spurs were done dealing, but if they were thinking of trading Poeltl before the Young deal they might as well still trade him for the right return.
There’s still Lonnie and Poodle, yet![]()
I'd love PJ Washington, haven't seen enough of Kai Jones.
it was more of a pickswap.
That is good work!
As much as I'd like to see Dragic play for us, you can't complain about dumping 2 turds and getting a FRP back.![]()
I don't really want to trade Poeltl, but that seems like a very good return. How promising of a player is Kai Jones though?
I would not want to Trade Poetl unless i get something of great use back and pieces + Frp given the Spurs recent history of how they use draft picks ain't it
That potential Charlotte deal I bet is Jakob + Lonnie for PJ, Kai, and a 1st
Can Satoransky be aggregated in a trade?
Charlotte's pick situation is complicated. They have a 2022 Pelicans pick that is lottery protected , otherwise turns into 2 seconds. Meh.
The first pick of theirs they could trade is 2027, unless they renegotiate some protections on already traded picks.
The Kai Jones dream is back![]()
I wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs are discussing something like Satoransky to the Suns for Saric + Smith. Saves the Suns Saric's salary next year and lets the Spurs get a look at Smith before the offseason. Probably need a 2nd from them in return for eating that salary?
I imagine SAS likes players like PJ in the mold of old Rudy and KBD, forward rim protectors. Kai is DJ boy i believe.
Wow really nice to get a 2022 first for Young's tired ass. Assuming Toronto doesn't the bed the rest of the season. Gotta give Brian Wright huge props for his work this season, I didn't think there was any way in they'd get a first for Young.
they need that more than anything. Problem is with Poeltl gone our only rim protector at C would be Zach Collins. Also PJ doesn't get enough boards, he grabs as many as Keldon. He'd fit though, kinda like a John Collins light and also still on a rookie contract. He and Keldon played together at Kentucky.
Zero chance
