Notice the avatar? Devin is going to be a stud, showing those freshman/Sop re snubs. I think easily he can average 20+ especially once offense is centered on him as primary go-to scorer.
Absolutely the right mentality. Love to see it
Yep on offense. They need Herb Jones to start with those 4 to be a respectable defensive team.
JV-Zion-Ingram-Herb-CJ is pretty good.
It’s only 2 games but the backcourt of Devonte Graham and CJ is going to get absolutely abused on defense. Two undersized guards who don’t play D. Graham also shoots sub 40% throughout his entire career.
damn Murray is playing as well as any Spurs fan could have hoped for
what a monster
Bulls have more talent than the Spurs had when they had Derozan. Lavine and Vucevic are better than anybody Demar got to play with during his stretch with the Spurs outside of 2018 LMA. Having more talent around Derozan has helped his game and his confidence.
Wasn’t a typo i just edited it for lolz![]()
Right. Lamarcus in Demar’s first season was way better than Vuc is now. But the combo of Lavine + Vuc is better than any pair Demar played with. And after that first year, Demar didn’t have that level of support anymore.
Is this bulls talk or spurs talk?
Are you re ed?
Really disappointed that they got the win. The team should be even better with Richardson in the rotation. Of course I want them to go out there to win, but a top 5 pick is really what‘s best for the team
Just to note, Parker was gone. Murray did his acl, Walker was a rookie, and White missed the first 10 games or so. Forbes and Gay were the 3rd and 4th best players on the team.
I had gotten to the point where I was all revved up about a top 5 draft pick but it is more enjoyable to watch the team win, rather than lose. Monday will be interesting to see if something is really going on or if it was a case of playing a flat Hawks team and a comparable Pels line up.
I hear ya.
I don't see that with the Lakers announcers. Lantz and Macdonald constantly praise and even get hyped when the opposing team makes a good play. On top of that they are not shy to pounce whenever Lakers players botch it up.
Here's their call when Diop went bonkers in that blowout at Staples:
F'n Dejounte ruining this tank.
Where would DJM go in the 2016 Draft if it were held today? Pretty high.....top ten for sure. Maybe top five. There are some pretty good players from that 2016 draft too.....
Now that we see what 2016 #1 Ben Simmons really is - a quitter with an absolutely broken jump shot (on a gigantic contract). DJM might even be the more desirable player right now with the combination of production and reasonable contract.
The only reason Simmons was tradeable to Brooklyn was the fact that the Nets soured on Harden (Big Time) and the Sixers had a big contract to swap for the horrible Harden contract. The Sixers REALLY wanted out on Simmons given the player/picks sent over to the Nets. The Harden extension is just now hitting the big numbers. $65MM for the last season five years from now. The exchange last week was for two headaches.
DJM is really coming into his own. You give him a high level running buddy (hopefully soon) and the developing supporting cast, this team could actually make some noise in the next few years. They generally play with effort and purpose, which is a good thing too see. Still a little short on overall talent (1-15).
I'll give credit to Popovich and his mostly new coaching staff. While I can do without the myopic pre-game lectures for the media by Pop, I actually see internal improvement for a number of the players already here. I wish Lonnie Walker could just settle in and play with confidence consistently. His physical/athletic ability is still very good. If he could turn into a reliable bench scorer going forward, he could still salvage his Spurs career. I'm afraid he'll end up moving on this summer unless he turns a corner in the last 1/3 of the season.

Isn't the purpose to tank is to get a franchise player? If DjM can consistently produce like these 2 games and get even better we already got the player we need. Why do we want him to regress and hope for a lottery pick that can reach his current level? I understand people are greedy and wanted 2 franchise players but I rather the current crops to continue to improve especially DV and KJ to propel us forward rather than them regressing to get that lottery pick.
Because even if Spurs get in the play-in and somehow got in the playoffs, they get trounced in the 1sr round, for what? I think Pop should still teach but ultimately throw the towel and get the highest pick. If they get a modern PF in the draft it makes a lot of difference in the years ahead. Long term vs short term goals.
kiss that top 5 pick good as gone now
Rooting for ping pong balls is for losers.
if this team is bad enough to be in the lottery, so be it, but it would be impossible to watch games cheering for the opponent.
