I guess Murray is officially a top 25 player now that he's an all-star. And he's not the worst player in the all-star game, so it's more like top 20.

I can see him improving to top 10 eventually. However, if he's going to be the leader on a contending team, we would need him to ascend to top 5 (which may not be possible).

Rooting for ping pong balls is for losers.
This franchise is only relevant because they purposely rooted for ping pong balls on two separate occasions.

Here is the thing with folks wanting the Spurs to tank

It’s not going to happen by asking your players to not play as hard

DJ is who he is because of his compe iveness. He became as good as he is now because of his mentality.

either Pop has to be really obvious with tanking by playing Cacok as the point guard or tanking isn’t happening at all

So the playoffs are in the picture if they continue looking as good as they do now

I think letting White go really unlocked something here. Not because White is a bad player, but because it’s forcing other players to step up (Vassell and Keldon, specifically)
    1. You can tank by playing your young players at their natural positions. lol. You just have to actually play them, rather than sending them to the G League or not playing them at all until game 37. Spurs would have been not too much worse than they are if Jones, Primo, Landale, Ca , etc. were getting 15-20 min per night instead of DNPs. Stop being disingenuous to how teams actually tank.

    2. Hold your horses on the Spurs since trading White. It's just been the 27-28 Hawks and the 22-34 Pelicans.

Isn't the purpose to tank is to get a franchise player? If DjM can consistently produce like these 2 games and get even better we already got the player we need. Why do we want him to regress and hope for a lottery pick that can reach his current level? I understand people are greedy and wanted 2 franchise players but I rather the current crops to continue to improve especially DV and KJ to propel us forward rather than them regressing to get that lottery pick.
cause the Spurs have a hole at PF that needs to be fixed and there are some high level picks for that position. You get one of them and this team will get into the playoffs ASAP while getting better every year

Sure do. Losing a bunch of games. Did you not know you don't have to play PFs as PGs to tank?

What point are you trying to make by saying if the “players played their natural positions” and then saying they wouldn’t have been much worse?

Instead of being 21-35 or whatever we might instead be 14-42...and much closer to the first overall selection. while also getting the future players minutes.

But, I see my wording was poor so that added to the confusion. my bad.

So if we play some of those players who do we bench. Our core players were pretty young. White was one of the older ones and he is gone. I guess the biggest one you can point to is mc buckets but he was just signed this off season to help our team. He was signed though as the team was trying to compete.

nice win ... DJ looked a bit too y after the first baskets he made, then he tried too hard and failed ... until he somehow flipped a switch and went midrange instead of forcing his way to the basket ... that was pretty epic!

I don't see that with the Lakers announcers. Lantz and Macdonald constantly praise and even get hyped when the opposing team makes a good play. On top of that they are not shy to pounce whenever Lakers players botch it up.

Here's their call when Diop went bonkers in that blowout at Staples:

Yeah, they're not good announcers but they're way down the homer list.

By far the worst are the Raptors and Warriors. The former are insecure, propaganda spewing fools and the latter are dripping in arrogance. Both awful listens.

It doesn't work that way. Better but not going due to injury/refusal to get vaccinated: Irving, George, S bag, Davis, Williamson, Lillard, Beal. Comparable but not going for whatever reason(s): Brown, Simmons, Adebayo, Holiday, Ingram, Gilgeous-Alexander, Sabonis, Siakam.

I would say he is better then several of the ones you listed on your first list and Simmons is no where near DJm level. people overestimate him so much.

Good find. I still found some of their calls to be quite disingenuous in that video. I'll see if I can find a couple of clips.
You're right though, I may have overblown it by calling them the worst. Clearly their is still Lakers hate running through these veins

Spurs are the only non playoff team with a positive point differential in the league. In fact there are some playoff teams with a negative point differential.

ive never followed that stay in previous years but that’s pretty crazy for a team that is 13 games below 500

Bulls have more talent than the Spurs had when they had Derozan. Lavine and Vucevic are better than anybody Demar got to play with during his stretch with the Spurs outside of 2018 LMA. Having more talent around Derozan has helped his game and his confidence.
Go shove derozens down your throat git bulls are garbage and got destroyed by the spurs find yourself a bulls blog Where somebody might care about what the bulls got going on.

When they get on the end of teams, they can blow them out, then have lost a lot of close games. It is really unusual. Case in point is this game, when they beat the Pelicans pretty badly. The teams are clearly pretty far apart.

You are truly re ed. I was never a fan of Derozan while he was with the Spurs. I was one of the many who wanted him gone and I'm still happy about him not being with the Spurs. With the way the Spur roster is constructed I didn't feel he was a good fit going forward in the short or long run. With that being said I can be objective and honest that he is a great fit with the Bulls roster.

Proving again you are profoundly stupid. First off, my original response was to a Spurs fan wondering why Derozan was doing well with the Bulls. I gave the explanation to that poster about why Derozan was doing well, and you got emotional and went off like a village idiot screaming that nobody cares about the bulls or wants to know about Derozan. You sound like someone that has mental illness.

Just to note, Parker was gone. Murray did his acl, Walker was a rookie, and White missed the first 10 games or so. Forbes and Gay were the 3rd and 4th best players on the team.
Not really, I will give you Gay at 4th but Forbes was clearly not as good as Mills. I would also put Peotel over Forbes.
