Let's see what kind of malarkey Old Joe unleashes via sanctions...
Did any of you see the spectacle that they put on with Putin and his security council?
Putin seated at a table at one end of a large hall, all his toadies sitting on uncomfortable-looking chairs 20 feet away. Putin summons them one by one to speak for a while and they each parrot some lines about how there is an imminent crisis and genocide that Putin can stop. Putin bullying his stuttering foreign intelligence chief, who looked like a puppy trying to please his master.
It looked like a meeting of SPECTRE from the old Bond movies ... all that's missing is a white cat on Putin's table and trapdoors underneath his underlings' chairs.
Putin's body language indicates he's lost whatever few marbles he had ... does he think acquiring some farmland in eastern Ukraine will make up for the economic hardship that Russians will endure?
You want US and Russia team up and attack Germany and later Japan?

Tell it, Hemi.
Testify!!!
Joe hasnt even agreed that this is an invasion
Im with joe![]()
...Sure, it wasn't Biden lookin' at his watch out at Dover as the children came home and there to meet them were their mama's and papa's, but it'll do, Warlord.
Biden has a big mouth, let's see him touch that pipeline in Germany as he's threatened to do. C'mon, Joe, chop/chop.
Well, at least put that NEW pipeline in Germany out of commission as he threatened to do, an.
He's "all mouth and a badge."
He stole $600 from ya, an, broad daylight, son. He ain't no better than that in' thief up in Canada.
From what I understand the economic hardships are over blown and cooked into the decision making process. They can over EU just as easy by holding back energy which is about to go high AF and benefit Russia anyways.
It's not a coincidence this decision yesterday was made in the tiny little window in which energy futures were closed entirely.
Small incursion once again good now.
tee, hee.
What happened to the mother of all sanctions??
Oh thats right. Its not an invasion![]()
Seems like a logical step. Russia gets full responsibility for the area.
It imposes a cost to the Russian regime, just as it bears the costs for things like water in Crimea. Russia wants to play empire, let it figure out how to pay for that.
The people there will see their standard of living drop, and can only really blame Putin for that, just as the Crimeans are beginning to.
...there he is, RG, in all his glory...I'll finish it for ya, Rargh..."Harumpf."
NATO really isn't hostile to functioning Democracies. I just don't buy that argument. But then I am not a paranoid ex-KGB officer with delusions of empire.
Left over echo of cold war mentality.

That German leader guy Scholtz or whatever is a real mental midget
He folds and stops NS2 pipeline. All thats going to do is raise the gas prices and benefit Russia. They will probably make up for the 10 billion or so that they spent on the pipeline in a few months. In other words, Europe is paying for that pipeline
Then Scholtz will most likely fold again and reopen NS2.because Germans will be eating shoes and will probably be on their way to Marie Antonniete him
Joe was right this Scholtz tool is "no angela merkel"![]()
Im going down w the ship. Russia will NOT invade![]()
Actually that German move to stop NS2 might be smart
By doing that he takes away that chip from EU, Biden. And can hold on to that chip and reopen NS2 unilaterally later.
Agreed tbh
wtf....?
You still dont get it.
Everyone gets hurt economically in this stupidity.
This is what sanctions and trade wars do without a military venture.
Add the massive military movement to this and Russia does get what it wants in that they can easily be a bully militarily, they are noticed.
But in the long run its gonna suck. Its going to make NATO and adding military to Europe a definite.
China and Russia share a border longer than US Mexico. There are disputed regions. Putin aptly chose going West, AGAIN.
No country that has chips in an what is now a world wide economy wanted this. Tells us a lot about Russia. This is a move of desperation. Not of a country that is enjoying its current economy and stature.
