He did imply last night that he was in Nam', but this could be another GOP death culter fantasy of his.
He was defending Rodman to death upstairs as only a Bulls stan would.

MF'ers want WWIII over ing gas prices. Poor Boomers. I can't imagine that sort of desperation.

If Biden had continued with Trump energy policies and not turned them off, oil would be cheap right now and Putin/Russia would be poor. America should be producing oil until gas is under $2 a gallon to supply Europe with energy and stop buying/begging from Russia and OPEC.

Oh, for the sake of of the environment and what supposedly happens 50 years from now - this situation would never have happened.

That's not how oil production works.

    Just curious.

    I am familiar with
ellipsis but what's up with all the commas?
the language usage is su iously like that of Thread. My guess is thread is trying to mask that with an obvious affectation.

EU unlikely to cut Russia off SWIFT for now, sources say

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The European Union is unlikely at this stage to take steps to cut Russia off from the SWIFT global interbank payments system as it works on a new package of sanctions against Moscow for its action against Ukraine, several EU sources said.

The foreign ministers of the Baltic states, once ruled from Moscow but now members of NATO and the EU, called on Thursday to stop Russia's access to SWIFT.

Other EU member states are reluctant to make such a move because, while it would hit Russian banks hard, it would make it tough for European creditors to get their money back and Russia has in any case been building up an alternative payment system

    ------------------------------------------

I think they will come under rather intense pressure to do so. "unlikely now", but I would guess it is probable to happen as the news and casualty reports out of Ukraine rise, and voters pressure their governments to do something.

Ladies and gentlemen: I give you the closest thing I have ever seen to a vertical line in any market index. 4 years of growth wiped out in a single morning, with the bottom nowhere in sight.

They have stopped trading BTW. Man... some shorts on that woudl have been sweet.

I know. Unfortunately, a lot of the progressive left has come to embrace modern monetary theory, which is a complete joke and has no place in government and esp. no place managing the fed.

Pretty much every fed chairman we’ve had since Volcker has been irresponsible and unwilling to actually execute the fed’s mandate as it was intended.
MMT isnt even a proper theory. theres no math behind it. its basically a hodgepodge of political policy prescriptions and then "dont worry about the cost/inflation associated with it, just get it done"
