I mean both Russia (Soviet Union) and the US tried to influence Afghanistan. The Soviets lost a very large number of troops. Chechnya? Is that under the Russian sphere of influence; they layed bombs all over Moscow in suicide attacks.

Why would we bomb a country that is one of our biggest trading partners economically and why would Mexico ask for help from Russia in order to form a puppet government with the amount of money they make off of US goods. Illegal and otherwise? Why in Gods name would they or we do these things?
To use this as a comparison is absolutely ridiculous. Many Mexican citizens want to become citizens of the US for work as well.
Should they be running? Talk about what actually exists in todays world.
