City fighting has a way of taking vastly longer than people think it will, but the Russian army seems to be well positioned to take the city.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes. Take too long and the Ukranians can reinforce easily, and harry Russian supply lines.

Biden has done right thing. It was like playing poker. He made Putin to show all his cards. And now every sceptic knows that Putin is a madman with nuclear bomb. The Russian threat will bring the western world together, also expect countries like Finland become a NATO member, so more american forces would be close to St Petersburg. A continued and sustained insurgency in Ukraine, draining the Russian army of blood and treasure.
