My guess:
I think Putler has officially lost it.
Russia/Putler will finally have had it with the slow progress and order a full scale assault on kyev. We will see the standard russian tactic of massive artillery barrages precede this. I think they had to pause while they brought up supplies.
They will go in, and it will be a bloodbath on both sides. At this point, I don't see the Russians really being successful, without relying so heavily on those barrages that there isn't much left to fight over. Much has been made of their numbers, but the number of enraged civilians with guns is greater still. Russia will win something of a pyrric victory, and gain so much animosity, they will be unable to hold the rest of the country, or even install a puppet government.
This will end with one or two Ukrainian cities being reduced to rubble, with shocking levels of carnage. The longer the Russians wait, the more javelins, Panzerfaust 3's, and stingers will find their way into the defenders hands.
Those unprotected large russian convoys are realy easy target practice for ukraine. Dont understan that tactic, but i support it.

Russian army is better trained and organized than they were 5-10 years ago. That isn't saying much. Large scale ops depend on a lot of going right, and the incompetent boobs that tend to end up in leadership positions in kleptocracies, do not tend to make/have for excellent organizational skillz.
The troops that are there seem to be rather low in the morale department, and that counts for a lot in any fight. Low morale, poor training, and poor logistics, on top of what looks to be a poorly planned operation.
