- Russia is an oligarchy and depends heavily on a hand of billionaires who are seeing their assets hit strongly, they may start to question Putin
- Russia was probably expecting a short intervention and a limited cost, it seems Putin will have to spend much more than anticipated
- He is speeding up European efforts to get rid of Russian gas dependency, oil is probably another matter
- NATO was not doing great, this intervention is probably gonna reinforce the organization
- Russia is helping USA achieving a long time goal to see NATO members increase military spending
- Russian military is showing its limitations in particular on logistics
- The "I raise nuclear alert" move is at this point a sign of weakness than strength imho tbh
