the US invasion of Iraq was bad

the Russian invasion of Ukraine is bad

its pretty simple and obvious to be able to say both of those things. of course, when your entire worldview is "US bad, anything anti-US is good" you are incapable of engaging in logic
    Yes both bad.

    But....

The world never cut off economy and relations with US. After invasions.

Plus we bombed Iraq daily for months. Hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths.

Russia is bombing for 6 days. Minimal civilian casualties.

the invasion of iraq was bad. and the world probably should have sanctioned the US.

for better or worse, most of the big powers in NATO/UN have soft spot for democracies like Ukraine as opposed to dictatorships like iraq. doesnt mean the invasions were better or worse. both are bad and deserved condemnation and global pushback.

the US absolutely should scale back its military and stop sticking its everywhere at first opportunity

Igor Kolykhaev, the mayor of the city with 300,000 people, confirmed in an interview with the Times that the city was surrounded and the Ukraine army was not in the area.

"I made no promises to them. I just have nothing to promise. I am only interested in the normal life of our city! I just asked not to shoot people. We don't have Ukrainian Armed Forces in the city, only civilians and people who want to LIVE here!" Kolykhaev said.

"The city is not experiencing shortages in food and essential goods," the Russian Defense Ministry said. "Negotiations are ongoing between the Russian command, the administration of the city and the region to address issues of maintaining the functioning of social infrastructure facilities, ensuring law and order and the safety of the population."

Putin never got lost in the State run media of America. Putin never watched it. You can't do it if you want to succeed. And he knew that without being told.
