This is actually a pretty terrible read of the situation, and the author clearly doesn't understand crypto, especially non-decentralized crypto.
https://adamtooze.substack.com/p/cha...s-720m-per-dayIn the oil market, there are reports of “self-sanctioning” by Western firms, which is making it harder for Russia to sell its oil. I have not yet seen any overall estimate of the effect in reducing oil revenue flow. Is there one out there?
The overall figure matters, because in gas the flow continues unabated and, with European customers now paying even more exorbitant prices, Russia is benefiting from a staggering surge in revenue. According to Javier Blas of Bloomberg, at the start of the year, Russia was earning $350 million per day from oil and $200 million per day from gas. On March 3 2022 Europe paid $720 million to Russia for gas alone.

Yep, sadly we were forewarned. Nobody heard it though over the cacophony of remedying this...
Trump President.
Not Clinton.
Is this what you actually believe, hater?
Yes or no.
And what does "war" mean in this case? What specific policies are causing the price increase?
Yep, it ain't FDIC, not by a jugful it ain't, but, then FDIC hasn't saved Putin's boodle after all...The FDIC guy:::"That doesn't apply here. But, Americans have nothing to worry about with their attendant boodle."
tee, hee.
Biden got the Russian economy in a chokehold. Yikes.
And so do you, you stubborn thing, you. You just don't like having it thrown in your face, especially by hater.
hater
hater is so flustered he doesn't know which thread he's in anymore.![]()
& his own as well...
A million dead of the COVID this month.
$5 a gallon gas this month.
Prices at the supermarket way up.
State run media CNN showing the incineration of Ukr 24/7.
State run media FOX following CNN's lead...more or less/less when nobody is looking. tee, hee.
You couldn't drag a straight pin outta Adam's ass with a 20-mule team.
Not even close but I understand
he thinks making the easy call of predicting a Russian victory in Ukraine will make people forget he blew the easiest call of the decade when he said Russia would not invade.
It will never work.

El, you're right about this one. (It's) still not off the table. What I believe is the hold up is that Biden is hoping that the influx of the Javelin's and the other weapon (name escapes) will do the trick and he won't have to do the Poland option. He may be thinking that Putin is luring the Polish into this by using Biden's permission and is extremely reticent to grant it.
Apology accepted, TC. It was due, long overdue, son.
We're pals again.
Putting aside the fact that this person doesn't know what crypto currencies are and nonsense like crypto-fiat. The value of currency is not determined by governments, but by the people/businesses using it. Government can influence the value, but if the people don't trust the value of this currency (and government just being able to switch your access to currency on and off at will really lowers it's value) they will just trade and barter in other alternative currencies or goods.
Also there is no plan B for Putin. Hitler didn't have plan B when he attacked soviet union, Japan didn't have plan B when they bombed Pearl Harbor, and Putin doesn't have plan B now. That's the issue with despotic infallible "genius" leaders. Plan B would imply there is some possible mistake in plan A - and they don't make mistakes.
It's not the weapons, those will keep on going there, it's the economy, IMO. Vlad has been trying to pull all sorts of stops internally to have a softer landing, but the day the stock market opens up in Russia, it's going to be murder, and you just can't easily hide that up from people.
McDonalds closing all 850 of its Russia restraunts... ("suspending" operations)
We have truly reached pure hysteria now... What does closing McDonalds due to stop the war or punish Russia? McDonalds is also going to continue paying its employees so its turned itself into a Russia charity now.
Putin's big lie to the Russian people is that he is not engaging his war and is trying to save Ukraine, but the maximum pain being laid on the Russian people tells them. Maybe that something else is going on
Pepsi and Coke are still doing business in Russia
Here are three of Putin's ultimatums for peace
Ukraine promises never to join NATO
Ukraine recognizes the dombas region as part of Russia
Ukraine recognizes Crimea as part of Russia
They're better off without McDonalds, nothing but GIGO.
And Pepsi and Coke will buckle as well. It's when they sneak back in under the skirts of State run media CNN/FOX that they've been assured will occur that we'll never know about.
bouts; on his knees praying.
Hater having a full meltdown today.
