Sure, there are partisan politics, but that doesn't make political discussion partisan. Otherwise we couldn't discuss politics in other countries where we have no personal interest or preferences. There's no agreed upon standards for right and wrong, it seems to be based purely on which team is committing the fouls.
What I mean is that there should be no surprises about partisanship showing up in political discussion. While I agree that isn't the sole angle for discussion, it has become much more prevalent due to the current polarization.

It's not surprising. It simply explains the lack of any real discussion.

I'm having a discussion with CC that I think it's 'real' and not 'partisan', but YMMV.

I didn't forget, that's exactly what I'm telling you. That's why weapons supply have not gone via NATO, but through individual countries.
So NATO member 1 gives the jets to NATO member 2 who gives the jets to Ukraine. How is that different than NATO member 1 giving the jets to Ukraine. It's still NATO giving the jets.

It's super important that, strategically, NATO doesn't get involved unless one of their countries is attacked. This is probably why the Pentagon shut that down.

Has nothing to do with Putler. If Putler was really wanting to pick a fight with NATO, he would've invaded Estonia or Latvia, which are also border countries, close to Moscow, 1/20th the size of Ukraine and NATO countries.

You just don't give him an excuse to start that war, period. He suckered himself into this Ukraine mess, you don't want to distract from that.
You know even before this came in our news I saw a clip where the NATO commander was flying to Poland to tell them not to give the MIGS to Ukraine as that would be considered and act of war and they would not protect Poland if they did that.

Jets are Polish. If Poland wants to hand them over, they absolutely can and should. Sending them to Germany or expecting the US or other NATO countries to approve the hand over makes it a NATO sanctioned handover.

This is why weapons and goods donations have been strictly on a country by country basis.

NATO can't back out of protecting Poland, that's just not how it works, I don't care what clip you saw.

But NATO also doesn't want to give Putler and excuse to point a finger at them to escalate even more.

Putin has Biden really snortin' over these Migs, El.

Hunch? Biden is going to sign off and put the onus on Poot. Then we'll see if Poot is a chicken (No Nuke, conventional response), or, dead serious (Nuke 'em).
    Hunch? He ain't dead serious.
    Poot loses.
    I lose.
    Biden wins.

Not as long as Putin remains inside Z'land bombing everything that moves. Will (they) permit him to continue (in this static mantra/broad daylight) is the question and it's coming to a decision point. I don't know how (they) can and that's been the sole quest of State run media CNN/Johnny come lately FOX pounding the visuals with attendant machine gun commentary, right off the prompter>>>anchor/guests alike 24/7. It's a pressure cooker and the relief valve is stuck fast, somebody jammed it closed. A weekend like we're entering is a fine 72 hours that most likely will be the tell.

During Thursday's episode of "The Situation Room" Blitzer and CNN reporter MJ Lee said that increased gas prices are going to hurt Americans - and that President Biden’s efforts to place blame on Putin for the hikes is "not the case".

"The White House is trying to sell this as Putin’s price hike. But that’s not necessarily quite the case, is it?" Blitzer asked.

"That’s right, the White House practically made Putin’s price hike a new slogan in terms of talking about inflation. And the point that they have been trying to make is that since the Russia invasion of Ukraine, energy prices in particular have really taken a hit. But of course, this is not the full story," Lee responded.

Biden simply needs to open up land and start the pipelines. His policies are also detrimental to production. This is 100% on Biden.

Trump begged Saudi Arabia and Russia to cut production in 2020. Be sure to thank him for that.
