The Saudis are angry over the U.S.’s lack of support for their intervention in the Yemen civil war, and over the Biden administration’s attempt to strike a deal with Iran over its nuclear program. Saudi officials have said they were shocked by the precipitous U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan last year.

There's a lot to untangle there, considering these s even had full access to the White House one administration ago. And this is exactly why I don't have expectations that this will last. Call it a good start, that probably won't last.
That said, the US would do well in cutting that dependency. This is a good opportunity for that.
