I just want to know what is actually going as best we can figure. You read a site I found pretty straight forward even if partisan.
Most people on this site it seems dont care what is actually important militarily. Blowing up a big airplane in a hangar stuff (Thread) is typical of the nothingness that has permeated this thread.

Your version of "win" is likely different for each side. If Russia nuked every city in UKR, you'd likely say UKR won because of global support for UKR and condemnation for Russia. You aren't even close to looking at this war through an objective lens (no pun intended). The truths are hard to come by, since every media outlet in the US supports UKR and won't call them to task over falsifying reports and fatality counts. It seems UKR is only considering civilian deaths as casualties. You're led to believe that Russians are marching like lemmings into machine gun fire and the UKR is just sitting back picking them off with nary a chunk of lead given in return. However then somehow every civilian in the city was bound and gagged and shot in the head, and in another city citizens were herded like cattle into buildings (where they were bombed). Odd war where that's even possible to happen concurrently. It's ok though, there are plenty here who prefer custom truths over facts. Given my preferences, I'd like to see Russia's entire military wiped off the face of the planet, but then I don't have much respect for Russia lite either.

But hey, let's address this directly: UKR getting every city nuked would be a loss in my book, but would also topple Russia, as it would make them quite literally radio active. Not even the Chinese would touch them at that point, and even Germany would lump the embargo on their natgas/oil.
UKR will win when RUS is pushed out of their territory, as that seems to be their governments goal.
RUS will win if they topple the UKR government and put in a puppet.
That's it. Given the disparity, even just snatching Donbas for RUS would be a loss, as it is far, far short of what they set out to do.

UKR can only win if they are allowed to join NATO. This is what Russia is pushing back on. UKR has been decimated. Russia will eventually withdraw, just like the US did in Afghanistan recently, but that doesn't mean they lost. UKR will still be in shambles, their dead will remain dead. Mass graves will be mass graves. Just across the border, Russians will be just fine. They just end their incursion because their current goals are met. Do you even know what their current goals are? Do you even care? You're score boarding using propaganda. "We're winning because this tank was hit"... You're just being a fan.

I don't think Russia gives 2 s if UKR is with NATO. That's a feint. Russia is out for blood, tired of being pushed around, mostly about being ignored and treated like . Ukr was the easiest to pick on and to satisfy their blood lust and there are things/the water to win.
