Lots of times. Most recently with my best friend about 2 weeks ago when we did some target practice in North Fort Worth while I was helping him set up his gun safe in his new home office since his new baby boy took his old home office room which was once the spare bedroom.

I was there, walking around the Capital Mall, on the footsteps of both the Capitol and SCOTUS buildings, on 10/14/2020 in the day time taking selfies. There was a small group of hippies protesting the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation at the time, but nothing serious. The only thing I was worried about was (a) getting trouble for parking in a reserved spot and (b) walking around [outside] without a mask on, which is stupid. But I had to get my DC selfies in. Just a harmless innocent unarmed guy with a hybrid sedan out to see sights and get my selfies in.
But if I had been unfortunate to be there on 1/6/21 instead of 10/14/20?? I would have been arrested and incarcerated without due process, even if I hadn't been part of the "mob" that went inside the Capitol building. They were jailing and sentencing people who were simply there that day and had nothing to do with entering the Capitol building. Sometimes life is all about sheer luck and nothing else. Just like the office worker guy on the 77th floor of the South Tower (World Trade Center 2) on 9/11 who had been in the conference room on the 78th floor on the southwest corner of the tower smack-dab where the second plane directly hit, just 8-10 minutes before he took the escalator down to his 77th floor office. He survived, and he's still alive today; but if the plane had hit 8 minutes later, he would have been ash and a few charred bones.
The feds get it wrong sometimes (Ruby Ridge), but they've historically been right more often than not... you can add Warren Jeffs to the psychopath list. And of course Jonestown. I'm not a "twoofer" got who actually thinks 9/11 was an inside job and not Islamic jihad responsible, tbh. I've always been a moderate, but the government reaction to Covid and 2020 in general has steered me pretty hard to the right...
