Memphis had a worse record with him than without him. He’s on the Harden track of useless points, coupled with losing basketball.
sounds like you would build some pretty awful teams then. a small guard who is a mega athlete but with limited skills. feels like a familiar story tbh

HemisfairBoomer with the awful take per usual
warriors are definitely vulnerable against teams with athletic bigs. and klay is not quite there yet. so this notion of GS being back is media hyperbole. i think they beat the grizz but i don't see them hoisting the larry o'brien at the end of the year.
grizz could still win the series- but they are stupid idiots who shoot themselves in the foot over and over and over…
this is why most great teams lose two or three times in the playoffs and suffer emotionally during the offseason…
then, if a good group of guys remain together
they then climb the mountain after some painful playoff exits
game one was one such up
a) dirty ass raymond was ejected- this wont happen again
b) refs actually called a pretty balanced game- THIS wont happen again in the series
c) jj jackson had a monster game- THIS wont happen again in the series until the grizz are facing elimination- maybe
d) wait til the refs are at gs home game and they don their “stephi kid gloves” and watch a few grizz players foul out
nope , grizz shot themselves in the foot and after they do this for 1-3 more years- they might just mature
but it is not their time yet
Where does this refs-want-the-Warriors-to-win conspiracy theory come from? What would be the purpose of the league favoring them? Also, doesn't Draymond getting ejected kind of negate that? They easily could've called that a Flagrant One and let him stay in the game.
They get special treatment on the defensive end and on the offensive end by the refs consistently. Bogut even admitted in an interview recently that he was allowed to set illegal screens every game for Steph and Klay and was hardly ever called for a foul. You will see the refs still allow this to happen consistently. On defense Draymond is allowed to hack, grab, and foul the out people without it hardly ever being called. Draymond getting ejected doesn't negate this because he hardly ever gets ejected. 9 out 10 times the refs don't throw him out of the game when they should. This was just a once in a blue moon type of event. The refs also allow the Warriors as a whole to play by 90's defensive rules in which they are allowed to hand check consistently without the whistle blown.
The purpose of the league favoring them is because they are media darlings, and they get high ratings which leads to more money for the league.

Klay to me will never be the same player he once was. He won't ever get the mobility he once had back after tearing his ACL and then Achilles. He will have moments where he will look like his old self for a game or two but his body won't allow him to sustain it.
yeah. i have to agree. he's going to have to adapt. i will credit klay though on that last defensive play against ja. klay knew morant was going to go let and he had just enough lateral movement to force ja farther away from the basket. klay had the smarts that ant-man did not when morant did the same against the wolves to close out the series.
The Warriors were called for more fouls per game this season than any other playoff team except for Minnesota, and were #4 for fouls in the league. I was just on a Golden State site where everyone was talking about how the game was clearly rigged in favor of Memphis. The one thing I never hear anyone say is that a game was poorly officiated, but fortunately all of the bad calls went in favor of the narrator's favorite team, that being the biggest reason they won. Weird.

warriors in 5
everything that could have gone right for memphis went right in game 1, and they lost.
I can't say about the rest of those things, or why the refs let it happen, but Bogut's screens were one of the most baffling things I've ever seen. There has to be a conscious decision to not blow whistles when it's that bad. I don't know that it was at a league level, or that it wasn't. But he did it so flagrantly, and so many times per game that there was no missing it.
The Dubs coaching staff probably just told him to keep doing it until the refs started calling it. But they never started calling it.
Are you joking?
Have you ever watched the nba games from 2015-2020?
Did you not watch as green committed about 3 fouls - BEFORE- he wound up and smacked that dude in the face and then pulled him down to the floor - except right at the end he tried to stop his fall?
Did you not see green body-slam morant on that fall morant took and landed on his back?
Green commits about 40 ing fouls per game - and gets called for about 3-4 of them - and he es, berates, screams, and generally throws a ing tantrum after every call...
this has gone on for YEARS -
when he fouls out - it is a ing miracle - and will not happen again for a long time -
did you never watch the refs standing right next to green, zaza, bogut, and other warriors big men - committing moving screen after moving screen after moving screen -
to allow curry or thompson to have a free three point shot attempt?
Where have you been?
I said most likely and as if there's anything wrong with giving a prediction.
They were until S bag's injury derailed them.
Main reason I can't stand Green. And you should see the campaign he's made in his podcast, social media, Steph Curry talking on his behalf and the team pressuring the league to change that to a flagrant 1, so that he can avoid a suspension when he commits other flagrant in the future, going so far as to say he got that whistle bc of his reputation... And Steph specifically saying that any other player doesn't get called for a flagrant 2 there. OMG! Are they listening to themselves. If Draymond gets suspended in the future it's only his own fault. Warriors are insufferable and some of their fans are the worst crybabies ever.
damn
wasnt aware of this..lol
nba will probably let them have their way and then when green injures someone and ends their season
the nba will just say green accidentally injured the guy
disgusting
Wouldnt be surprised if suns sweep. They are just so much better than the mavs.
It is sad to see Doncic get fouled a lot and get zero calls. No wonder he es so much. If only refs sucked his as they suck Embiids. Unfortunately hes European, so he has to get on with it, just like Jokic.

He needs to have a few moments where he gets punched out by opposing players and only then will the league put an end to his antics. Unfortunately, I don't ever see that happening.
Are you on crack? Doncic cries and gets calls on a Harden level.
He's narcissist so he's naturally good at self promoting himself and manipulating people. Look at how he has won over Barkley who at first hated him. His whole career really started with him promoting himself as a good defensive player. I had never heard of this scrub until '14-'15 season when he started saying in a bunch of interviews he was a great defensive player and his teammates started echoing it a bunch of times along with Kerr. He had a great publicity campaign that season and then started to get special treatment from the refs because it's human nature if you hear things over and over again most people will eventually believe it
Steph and his teammates along with Kerr are going to defend Draymond no matter what. I get why they are doing it logically even though I don't agree with it. Draymond gives them an edge and they know it when it comes to getting underneath their opponent's skin along with what he brings defensively since the refs allow him to get away with hacking and fouling on just about every possession. It's a huge advantage they get from it. He is also Steph's biggest defender since Steph by nature is a soft guy who doesn't have a natural toughness edge which Draymond provides for him. Steph would still put-up great numbers without him but he gives him an edge no one else probably could outside of an enforcer.

Steph is a great shooter but in the mid 2010s if not for Green and Bogut illegal screens Steph numbers would be much lower.
I agree
no. he cries but doesn't get half the calls that guys like harden used to get
I'm no fan of Draymond's behavior on the court, but your take on it is a tad over the top. I mean, he was suspended for a finals game and that ultimately cost his team a le against Lebron & the Cavs. The idea that there's a league-wide conspiracy led by Adam Silver (I assume?) to let the Warriors win games... well, let's just say I don't buy it. How does it work? Does Silver address all of the refs directly to cheat, in a group chat, or does he just text the crew chief?
