Kherson and the South are still a big problem to overcome for Ukraine.
A possible push towards Odesa is also worrying.
Also the fact that Putin and his group of yes men have been so incredibly inept is dangerous.
He might go Trumpish and do something militarily along the lines of the total idiocy of election stealing and Jan 6, only with the entire military.
Authoritarians embarrassed and so self motivated to control how they are perceived is a difficult problem imo.

That pretty much sums it up, a series of ever smaller goals as their capabilities wane, and their failures become more apparent to even an insulated Putin.
The Izium salient is just leaving a large mass of troops vulnerable to flanking attacks and supply convoy ambushes.
With Bolgorod rail threatened that salient could be mostly cut off from supplies. I will be very interested to see what UKR decides to do in another week. Were I them I would work at hitting that mass, and forcing them to react, and use supplies.
The nuclear arsenal makes it all a mute point. And always has.
Be funny if they all re-deploy units to the Russian border.
On a non-related note:
Russia will be forced to sell its oil/gas to india/china at a discount, likely taking a loss. India and China will find that getting paid in rubles will leave them with currency that no one wants.
Russia's ability to prop up their currency is not infinite, and the sanctions are starting to really bite.
Putin taking on NATO, the EU, the UN, 50+ countries, + Z, and including the U.S. and still is upright.
