This kid is all over the place on the boards. If you believe some he may be there at 25. Others have him in lottery. Wonder what accounts for the huge variance

Charlotte needs a center and Duren will be gone before they pick. If Williams is there when they pick they’ll be super stoked. Won’t last to 20 in my view.
Possible, but it depends on who’s there coach tbh.
The current finalists- Darvin Ham, Mike D’antoni, Sean Sweeney and Kenny Atkinson, all arguably, based on recent trends, care little for a traditional C.

If Charlotte doesn’t take him at 13 they will definitely take him at 15 if he still available

Ham is not a head coach and both the Hawks/Bucks always skewed big under Budenholzer because their personnel dictated as such.

Sweeney is also not a head coach and the Mavericks have been rumored interested in high profile C's since Porzingis was traded.

D'Antoni and Atkinson didn't seem to take issue with Capela and Allen respectively, with the former only being traded to accommodate Westbrook's flawed game.

The Hornets have long been rumored to be interested in a traditional C. That's not changing because of some new coach.

Yep, Charlotte needs a center and Williams won't get past them.

Also, GM Michael Jordan isn't going to pick a different player based on who the coach is.

Unless Jordan hates Duke players. He’s from UNC and he’s petty. So, maybe? Lol.

If CHA reason for firing Borrego is because they want to be a PO team and took “a step backwards” then why would they not just trade their lottery picks for someone like Jak to actually help them win now?

Jak would be a slam dunk if you’re pick 13 or 15 turned out as good so why not guarantee it by making a deal with SA? You think firing you good coach and adding a late lottery Center will help you win more games? Ok…

gotta say I'm very high on EJ Liddell after seeing the combine numbers. At first I thought he could be undersized, but having the highest vert in the combine and a 6'11 wingspan certainly make up for that. Very polished player, good rim protector, passer and shooter with an NBA ready body. Can definitely see him fill the hole at the 4

We've got to come out of this draft with some size and athleticism. If we use no. 9 on Mathurin/Daniels/Davis, we've got 20/25 to go for it. Unless Eason is on the board at 20, that leaves Liddell as the most likely candidate. And if the FO goes talent over fit at 20 and decide to use 25 (may be traded for a future 1st or used to trade up), he'll be very hard to pass on at 25. IMO we're coming away with one of these: Sochan/Duren (9th pick), Eason (20 or trade up) or Lidell (25).

Jordan won les with Luc Longley, Bill Cartright, Will Perdue, Stacey King, Bill Wennington, etc... I have to wonder if this idea that he's obsessed with centers is a bit overstated.

Some of the winners at the combine:

    1.Terquavion Smith
    2. Josh Minot
    3. Dareon Seaboron
    4. Drew Timmie
    5. andrew Nembhard
    6. burn
    7. Hugo Besson
    8. Procida

Probably the guy that got the worse was Patrick Baldwin - had a terrible year followed up with terrible scores as far as measurements speed, jumping etc...the kid really needs to go back to a new program or he will definitely be a second round pick.

The Venn diagram of posters pissed that we drafted Primo based on a plus Combine showing, yet clamoring for the Spurs to do it again with Jalen Williams, who has show both poor defense and poor rebounding, is one circle.

I wouldn’t be surprised if PATFO has a selection from one of those, as they’ve recently heavily relied on, as shown on their picks of Samanic, Primo and Weiskamp, all performing very well at the Combine.

If Mark Williams goes before the #20 pick, consider me shocked.
I’m sticking with my Roy Hibbert comparison.
Trevion Williams will be a better selection than this guy…
    Prepare to be shocked.

Partially true, but a deeper dive into Jalen's college record also shows a few things that Primo's one year at Alabama didn't, namely that he could be a first option offensively, that his assist-to-turnover ratio could improve, etc., and that's on a team with less talent than most where he's pretty clearly the best guy... I think one could argue that while Primo's growth is projected, Jalen's is do ented. Jalen led his team in assists per minute. Primo was 8th on his team in the same category. Also, Jalen measured at a hair under 6'6" with a 7'2" wingspan. Pretty unlikely Primo's wingspan ever increases by 5". I do agree with you on the defensive concerns however.

What players does he think he has on the bench? Kai Jones and Bouknight? They're not ready
