Being obstructed by POS Manchin/Sinema does not define Biden, apparently an omnipotent king for you, is a POS.
It's hilarious watching you lose your mind more and more by the day over the dumbest of and lies by the commies in the WH.

    'Operating in Bad Faith':

Manchin Reportedly No Longer Supports His Own BBB Counteroffer

"does not currently support" passing even his own recent $1.8 trillion counteroffer to President Joe Biden's Build Back Better agenda.

"if you were a fossil fuel lobbyist and

had to construct an ideal strategy not only to kill BBB

but to gum up the works for as long as possible

it would look a lot like what Manchin has been doing."

a lobbyist for fossil fuel giant ExxonMobil said of Manchin, "I talk to his office every week."

confirmed Tuesday that he is not currently talking with the White House about the package, telling reporters that "there is no negotiation going on at this time."

he is not interested in approving legislation resembling Biden's Build Back Better package and that Democrats should fundamentally rethink their approach."

"Senior Democrats say they do not believe Manchin would support his offer even if the White House tried adopting it in full

Manchin's offer "may no longer be on the table,"

    Jake Sherman of
    Punchbowl News tweeted that

    "it's definitely not."

...his COVID Death Count at 453,612 (& counting, bouts) is a more profound definition I agree.

    Let us proceed...
Sweet Jesus, "3 Weeks Ago" Biden's COVID Death Count was at 453,612...

    3 Weeks Later it's 514,000...Ruh, roh!!!

That's 60,000 Americans dead of the COVID in the 3 week interim.

    & counting, kids.

Pelosi and the dem leadership is pushing for a vote on the infrastructure bill. the progressives in the house trying to tank it should be ashamed tbh
    aged like fine milk.

the progressives ended up playing ball and the moderates tanked Biden's entire legislative agenda by delinking the two and refusing to compromise on either part.

Severing BIF from BBB not only tanked BBB, it saddled all Dems with the expiration of the CTC and looming premium hikes that will hit right before the election
    what strategery

you still think sinemanchin would have budged on BBB?

is it your impression that the populace is mad an manchin? his approval ratings have gone up quite a bit since the start of the biden administration. i'm not saying i agree with his position, i dont. but you are mistaken if you think that holding up infrastructure would have pressured him at all. he is doing what his cons uents seem to approve, and he's only gotten more emboldened due to his increasing popularity.

its a good thing they at least got infrastructure passed. with your plan we wouldnt have gotten even that

speculative, my point remains that centrists tanked Biden, not the progressives

obviously. you think ive been cheering on sinemanchin? their holding up BBB was awful.

but i dont see how tanking infrastructure would have helped anything at all.

Speculative, I know, but making a bold stand and fighting for stuff people really care and demonizing crazy Republicans and centrists who caucus with them about might have been worth more to the Dems in this election cycle. Getting more power is clearly necessary to get done and block Republican fascists, incremental minimalism is a turn off, tbh.

if democrats want to pass a more ambitious agenda, they need more seats in the senate. mccain tanked trump's obamacare repeal effort. sinemanchin have tanked biden's BBB effort.

the delusion is thinking sinemanchin would have been swayed by also holding that bill up. i dno about sinema, but manchin was pretty clear with his demands. he wanted BBB to be paid for. the bill, as written "technically" was paid for, but only because of somewhat dishonest accounting. it was going to ramp the deficit short term, and then was supposed to "pay for itself later"... the problem being, that the math only worked if many of the major benefits in BBB were temporary and cut off after 1, 3, or 6 years, but paid for in the aggregate of a 10 year tax hike, when its pretty plain that those programs would eventually be expected to be renewed or made permanent. manchin said he wanted the bill to be paid for as it went, not paid for 5 years after the spending is "scheduled" to end

im not saying i agree with manchin's position. im just laying it out. you really think he would have thrown all that out the window... a position which has made him more popular and more likely for re-election, at the risk of holding up an infrastructure bill?

more likely it just proves that dems cant govern when you give them the white house and congress, and all they want to do is whine. you are worried about rhetoric which might win further seats while looking past the people who need to have a record to run on when seeking re-election just to maintain the current numbers

A plussed up highway bill ain't getting anyone over the finish line, it's arguably worse than doing nothing. The achievement underscores the puniness of the Democrats. Grandstanding and screaming might actually have been better, politically.

it was a 1.2 trillion dollar bill with 550 mil in new spending. about 110 mil of that of that going to roads/highways etc. brushing it off as a highway bill is disingenuous. rail, broadband, water infrastructure, grid upgrades, EV charging ports, airports, ports, etc

objectively true, but wonky like that doesn't connect with voters. it makes the Dems look puny to have done that and little else. it's a net loss.

that's what you moderate incrementalists are doing by coddling centrists and squishy republicans who were never going to deliver the goods.

it won't work. at some point Democrats are going to have to throw some sharp elbows and stand up for people against fascist Republicans and Dems who caucus with them.
