That's the best we can do, future 2nd round
I'd go EL Liddell here and figure it out later..
That's the best we can do, future 2nd round
This draft made it really easy to decline Lonnie's option. Gives us a ton of cap space. Miles Bridges and Mo Bamba could be potential targets? This draft was an A.
Spurs are done for the night. They didn’t want a 4th Rookie.
Dude we already have three rookies. THREE ROOKIES.
We get a future 2nd that will be worse than this one. The cash makes up for that.
Stash target gone no more roster spot.

Liddel dropped like twenty picks. Pelican may have a good player here.
When the Buffalo Braves traded Bob McAdoo to the Knicks for cash and John Gianelli, one Buffalo fan held up a sign:
"Cash Can't Score (Neither Can Gianelli)."
Trading picks (even 2d round) for cash is rinky dink (as the Buffalo Braves were).
It’s funny how they always hype up trades before the draft and nothing major ever happens
Spurs fans want 10 picks drafted and signed to the team.
Great draft, this should be a fun season
Unless the Spurs cuts some one, Lonnie, Wieskamp and Cacok are gone.
I wanted Procida a perfect draft and stash..![]()
I don't see a major upgrade to last year's team from the draft.
Expect another below .500 team with the current roster.
They might struck gold twice in a row
Not a fan of trading 38 for only one pick. They could use a young center and had the chance to draft one that could make the roster. They shouldn't need cash -- they have a tiny payroll and will undoubtedly get more cash as part of their rebuilding trades. They now have a huge hole at PF/C but don't really have any good free-agent targets. If this were last year, maxing Collins would be a no-brainer. But I doubt the Spurs would trade for Collins after using all of their picks. There are a few other targets, but the draft has certainly removed some. SG remains the strongest position in free agency, but the Spurs just drafted two of those guys.
It'll be an interesting year to say the least. There might be more movement, including even a Murray-for-Collins trade, even though I'm less of a fan now that the draft has passed. We'll see how the team ends up resolving their roster issues. They certainly have the flexibility to surprise me.
Lol of course not
I hope no one thinks drafting 3 19 year olds makes the team a playoff team but it’s much more talented and athletic now. It will be a fun season even if they lose a bunch.
and nobody would care
You want to bet they are below .500 next year?
We probably make some trades next month (maybe John Collins) but, if we stand fairly pat I expect we either go after Jalen Smith or a reclamation project that Detroit probably doesn't value now in Bagley..
Mo Bamba
Mitc Robinson
Thomas Bryant
Jalen Smith (maybe more a PF)
All seem like options who fit the timeline.
I also think Miles Bridges could be someone we should be thinking about.
We have the cap space to make some RFA decisions difficult for some teams.
They’re better with Sochan at 4 right now than at anytime they were last year. Just cause you’re asshurt they didn’t take Sharpe the 10 cent moron, doesn’t mean this hasn’t improved them.
