I'm here because I was offered a job I liked for a good chunk of money. My native country didn't have the technology to match.
Back in the 90s I also had a legal job in the US, and when it ended I flew to Europe and kept working, then Brazil, etc. Nothing notable about that.
Later on, I came back here with a job offer and a work visa, ended up owning half the company. Sold my share and moved on.
I could work anywhere in the world for what I do, but I have an American wife and family in the US now, which is primarily what binds me to this place at this time.
And who's upset? I'm pointing out the whole immigrant hate is re ed. In general, how much of a foreigner you are is only generally measured in which immigrant generation you are on.
