    Do you not understand how gas stations work? Stations have to fill their storage tanks at the going price. For small mom and pop stores that do a low volume they need to sell the gas for more than they paid for it to make a profit. In volatile market conditions when prices drop the higher volume stores can charge a lower price because with the turnover they can refill their tanks with lower cost gas while the mom and pop store is stuck with uncompe ive product. There was an article about it in the Wall Street Journal today.
