Except they won't be playing that level of talent in the NBA. YMCA ball is not NBA ball.
I want DJ to succeed, but I need those future ATL picks to be high as a Spurs fan.

Was that the Washington Generals they were playing?
Yeah, it’s trash ball. DJ plays like off the ball, very ordinary. He’s going to be off the ball in ATL.
Actually Tre is going to play off ball much more than you think.
but can DJ throw an alley-oop pass though?
He got pretty good at setting Jak up for Poodle Pops. If he can remain a scoring threat and have Tre, JC and Clint as targets it might be pretty damn fun to watch, even if they are still a middle of the pack playoff team.
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. The problems between Trae and JC were all about touches. Tre didn't want to give them up. Can't see him wanting to give up the rock.
If you go into a fight and don’t plan to get punched I can’t help you.
Trae is a pretty good 3pt shooter. This should challenge him to become a more efficient off ball scorer. He has the touch.
DJ doesn’t have to worry about balancing calling his own card versus distributing now. He has guys around him who can score. Stagger their minutes, let them take turns as primary ball handler when on the floor together and have DJ spend more energy being a ball hawk versus doing literally everything, which is what we had him do last year. If you look at DJ his upper body is really starting to fill out. He has the length, speed and agility to really effect games on the defensive end.
I know, I'm just saying it cause people here said DJ couldn't throw alley-oop passes
If you watch from this angle the guy was up in his junk…

That reminds me. Kawhi, Dejounte!
Dejounte, unleashed from the Spurs. I wonder if he’ll get more technicals this year. Or maybe get in a fight. He’s still emotionally young so I’m expecting him to act out a little bit next year. Sort of like the kid who goes off to college and goes wild. Joking?
Yup the guy is a show-off who craves attention. His game is flawed, but I think it’s more of a questionable character that PATFO would not feel easy awarding him the max. He’s barely Demar, but PATFO would rather sign him max because he’s a true leader on and off the court. Dejounte is a player and leader-wannabe. Above footage while might be fun, is not very Spursy.
Let's say your defender's face is near your junk like that and you thrust forward and tap him on the nose with it. That's personally foul, but is it a personal foul?
1/3rd of Spurstalk would never wash their face again if that happened as they guarded Pop or Manu.
hes a man of da people
Stephen Jackson has a ring that disagrees with you...
That ring might even have silver and black on it.
Poor Dejounte.. it still hurts obviously. Cant let it go that the spurs didnt see the same value.
Could it have ended better? Sure.
But DJ’s still my hommie.
He repped SA with pride while here, and worked his ass of to improve each season (which he did). People who work hard, don’t expect to fall in their laps, and give a damn about their professions will always have my respect, basketball and otherwise.
RT. Just lock this thread.
^ from the guy keeping the thread needlessly alive lol.
One just need only scroll up for the proof points…
Keeping it alive supporting a player I really rocked with amongst a fan base I often don’t understand. You are quite sensitive.
^ Forgot to tag you sweetie pie, don’t take it personal.
