Russians trying to form new units that they can throw into combat, still inching forward with a lot of losses in the east, but with a much slower pace.
UKR conducting counterattacks. UKR silence about their counter attack effort in the north east (IZIUM) suggests to me they are taking some losses and facing some difficulties.
UKR is still concentrating on isolating a pocket near Kherson, it looks like RUS is sending reinforcements to hold the line, while at the same time not really being able to supply what they have. Not a recipe for success.
If UKR gets any momentum, the lack of initiative on the part of RUS troops will mean that they either melt away as a mob, or stand and get themselves surrounded.
Both sides exhausted, but UKR still gets a substantial part of arty/MLRS and other aid. RUS is digging deep in their 50+ year old inventory of that was obsolete in the 1980s, including old ass arty ammo.
The arty tubes that RUS has been using have got to be beat to , which means that even if they get ammo, they are not going to be hitting what they are aiming at.
