I also said although she broke the law she didn't do it to the same degree Trump did, but you conveniently left that out.
Not at all, that's the backpedalling I mentioned. When pressed, you changed your tune.

Again, nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with shoring up a weak take, it's to your credit you weren't wedded to it.

Are you drinking again? I said they both should be prosecuted. I never said both should go to jail. I specifically said she should have gotten a Petraeus style probation and fine while Trumps was more egregious and I would have no problem with him going to jail.

    Who said they were?

I was responding to Boutons and pushers denial that the Bleachbit email destruction came after the subpoena.
I was not denying the destruction of emails came after the subpoena. I was 'quibbling about details on intent' as you put it, because that's what matters. She had admitted she deleted personal emails, using a service like Bleachbit to delete emails irrelevant to the investigation and immaterial to the intent.

    Since you asked:

On March 4, 2015, the Benghazi Committee issued a subpoena requiring Clinton to turn over her emails relating to Libya.

The email files were deleted on March 25th and March 31st using bleachbit.

You can quibble about details on intent and why they were deleted but those are the dates.
She had already sent the 30,000 work related emails to the State Department in December 2014.

Patraeus' offenses were also worse than Clinton's. He actively stole and shared classified do ents with a person who had no clearance whatsoever.

we already lmew there was top secret/SCI stuff there, we just got the first snapshot. the contents probably can't be publicized outside of the judge's chambers.

I'm betting someone will say there's mischief with the cover page.

Yam s will claim that his black Sharpie was dry and that he could not write "Declassified by me, Yam s" on the cover sheet.

It simply comes down to whether you believe Hillary was or wasn't trying to hide anything. You blindly accept her word "they were all personal" and I have my doubts. The simplest way to have resolved it would have been to have given the FBI access to the computer before the bleachbit attack.

Some of Clinton's classified emails were found on Carlos Dangers laptop, so she shared classified data too. Again the quibble comes down to intent.

She even admitted after the fact that is what she should have done.

attack. You’re so dramatic. Bleachbit is a service used to clear disk space among other things. You, just like trump, are trying to make this sound nefarious when it may not be. The FBI did the investigation, called out her complete irresponsible consideration of classified information and recommend no penalty. She’s irrelevant now. It’s funny how you conservatives can manage kindle outrage for this stuff.

If you are talking about Paula Broadwell she had security clearance until it was revoked after the fact when she sent jealous threatening emails to Jill Kelly.

Maybe Trump should just come out and say it. He can’t read. He doesn’t know how to read.

That would help explain a lot actually, from his staff using pictures for his briefings to ripping and tearing up do ents Billy Madison style in frustration to how giddy and proud he was over his acute memory mastery of, “person, woman, man, camera, TV.” It certainly gives more believable reasoning for some of his mishandling of top secret/sci do ents than a lot of his other defense arguments. I mean, how can you know something is top secret/sci if you don’t know what that spells?

Isn’t ignorance of fact a legitimate defense in some situations?

There it is. That’s how he gets out of these legal troubles. He just ain’t smarter than a first grader.

    "may not"

    at least you conceded that.

Bottom line is she delivered the emails she wanted to deliver and destroyed the rest. I accept your blind trust in Clinton that there was nothing nefarious about it.
