Because they now understand the team won't have their back when they need it. But they'll also know how to get out of town easy.
Kawhi showed you could run and hide for a year and get traded. Now if this isn't as serious matter every draft pick will know how to get paid and get out of town early.

I do wish folks stopped talking about who "looks like a killer". Murder doesn't have a face. I'm not at all saying Primo did something like that, but people are wondering about it because that's the kind of thing that would justify the action, not because he has dark skin or whatever. Primo doesn't particularly look like a killer, but the situation as we understood it didn't look like one where the guy was going to get waived like he did either. Things are ed up. Either the Spurs have made a colossal mistake or Primo did. It's going to end up being a huge shocking deal either way.
It most definitely has to be something that will end his career, they just picked up his option.

If this is in-house stuff, then the Spurs organization has gone insane. Even a second round pick is worth holding him and trading him. It's got to be something serious. It can't be Primo not being willing to say that Vassell is better than him or some stupid thing like that.

True. Anything in house can be managed until he's traded. Fight a teammate? Bang someone's girl? Throw soup at a coach? Protest coming off the bench?
