Your speculation is troublesome in itself.
Yeah, I just finished watching Spotlight. But who knows what it could be. I mean, murder is pretty out there too.

If it was a serious criminal situation I don't think any attorney would allow Primo to make statements about his mental state (or anything else).
Agreed. I thought that was very odd. That implies something very serious, detrimental to the team, not expected to be criminal.

Don't confuse the Texas media with say east coast media for example. Media here are very obediant to authority and don't ask many questions, they'll just regurgitate whatever the authorities give them.

Yes, this is a good point actually. You're making me reconsider my thinking here.

Only possibility is he has a dumb lawyer or in the chaos hadn't hired one yet. But you'd think access to a lawyer would be part of his agency agreement.

his previous trauma played a large part in why he did x. x is why the spurs waived him.

like i said earlier in the thread, it's not drug related and not due to him being injured, etc.

he didn't mention the spurs in his statement because he doesn't need to / won't be associated with the spurs ever again.

Easy answer: avoid spam troll posts that would cons ute online bullying to a guy who's trying to stabilize his mental health.
Like I said most people that take a break for mental health receive a ton of love and try to bring awareness. Yeah there might be some trolls like always but majority of comments are mostly love.

Why wouldn't a lawyer or PR person want to put out a statement before the big story drops? Makes perfect sense to me, never too early to start a defense.

Not speculating when I say this: There's a difference between when someone commits a criminal act and when someone is in legal trouble. Again this is just speaking generally, but a player could do some violation that's reprehensible and worthy of discipline from a team/PR standpoint without actually warranting legal punishment. A lot of crimes like DV and SA are obviously wrong but without a cooperative victim don't have a legal case. In a case like that, the team could suspend or otherwise discipline the player while the law does nothing. Yes, oftentimes you'll get an arrest out of it, but depending on how the evidence is captured and released, maybe not. Someone doesn't need to be at the point where they're building a legal defense to be at the point where they're in a PR fight or lose their jobs.

Make no mistake, Josh's statement was written by a PR person or a lawyer. It reads like one.

Those trolls hit hard to those with mental health issues though. If you don't have severe mental health issues, you can look at it from the other standpoint but it's apparent that Primo isn't in such a state so he may not have the best judgment at this point.

Mental health issues. Trauma. He likely traumatized someone else in some way and is using his supposed past issues to explain it. That’s my best guess based on the statement released. But just guessing like everyone else.
