It's in the Spurs' self-interest as business to be as up front as possible (although, of course, the situation may dictate some constraints).

The Jack analogy is inapt -- Jack was a guy the Spurs picked up for nothing after he was cut by another team. Primo was a first round pick presented by the Spurs to their fans as a possible centerpiece.

The Jack analogy was that we’re not always told, or even told the truth of what happens. The Spurs lied about that to shield Tim, and I’m fine with that.

Everybody going at Atl Spur for his strong/supportive views on Primo but let’s remember he was high on Josh Primo’s basketball skill set and to a lesser extent PATFO’s prowess to draft and develop young talent; whatever went down these last few days doesn’t necessarily confirm he was wrong… hate to use this term but this is obviously bigger than basketball for Primo.

So the part in Primo's statement where he says "I hope to be able to discuss these issues in the future so I can help others who have suffered in a similar way." If he had committed rape or murder, I don't think he would be in a position to "discuss these issues in the future" to "help others" right? He would be ostracized.
