Primo apparently does not watch the news as he evidently thought this stuff would stay under wraps (pun intended).
What a ing dumbass.
Minor, but important clarification: we don't know that she is pressing charges, just that she hired an attorney. You don't hire an attorney to press charges, you hire an attorney to file a civil complaint. Buzbee is also a s bag lawyer, but even s bag lawyers represent real victims.

Did Primo chase Becky out of Texas?
ducks has had a fun folks make a run at the le, but always steps up to defend his reign as the dumbest mother er on this website full of dumb mother ers.
was there a texans employee involved?
football teams make more money than nba teams too. value proposition comes into play.
Spurs would've vetting the accusations and unearthed it if the story didn't add up. Once you're at this point the accusations are legit and substantiated.
Not to mention the NBA league suspension which will likely be quite long. (Way longer than Watson's.)
The league is already pretty gun shy about these things with the Phoenix owner and Udoka.
Primo looks primed to be made an example of.
Primo just sent this franchise to Austin tbh
The point is, when it comes to the decision to cut him, it doesn’t matter. The team is in risk mitigation mode regardless of the various parties’ motives.
Imagine it comes out that the Spurs tried to cover it up. Heads will roll, including Pop’s, and we could potentially lose draft capital as a penalty. Could get really ugly.
Hopefully that’s not the case and the victim just accepts a settlement check and we can all just move on tbh.
much easier to blame alleged sexual abuse against himself as a child. If it's true, it should go to show how widespread this problem is given its affected at least 2 of our recent draft picks. In fact, statistically, there are several people in this forum who are victims and perpetrators of this.
IMO if it happened at hotels like has been rumored, that wouldn't have been enough to release him. They valued him too much as a player for that to be enough.
The fact that it's a former employer, seemingly going after a big payday exposes the organization legally and it forced their hand.
didn't someone post a thread about the spurs not having one of the better futures in their division?

More minutes for Blake....
Spurs run a tight ship and limit risk I can't fathom a situation where they would knowingly take on serious legal liability to help cover up for a barely fringe contributor to the franchise. Much easier to cut ties instead and preserve the overwhelming rest of the value.
Its only public because of the lawyer. Do you think civil lawyers call you ahead of time to be nice?
tbh I don't think that happened imo. The speed in which they dropped his ass leads me to believe it came to light the day of reckoning, considering he was yucking it up on the sidelines the previous game. Then again, people could know. I can see one of the Drunkfords trying to cover it up but not Poop.
I get that. No argument there.
I just always feel like everyone automatically goes with the sensitive approach in instances like these. Or at least publicly they do. But honestly, privately (in my mind) I always find myself questioning whether someone is actually traumatized by the event or if they see an easy payday.
If they extended him knowing I hope the who front office gets fired and pop
They deserve the pink slip
He’s not landing anywhere. He’s out of the league.
Watson is in the NFL because he’s a top 10 QB. Guys like Ray Rice, who had fallen off significantly, don’t get a second chance.
Primo is a dime a dozen prospect and the NBA is way more careful with these things than the NFL. He should go look for a job overseas, if he can even get a visa.
Multiple victims implies that this isn't just an isolated, one-off incident. Huge ramifications for the Spurs if they kept this under wraps and let him get away with warnings.
Crazy reading all the posts. This issue is a big societal problem, from Dennis Hastert (2nd in line to the presidency) to incidents involving sports and entertainment figures like Watson and Primo. My own mother was a victim, and it eventually led to her death. My thoughts are with the victims, Primo’s family and loved ones. I hope he can salvage his life.
Its no different than if he broke his foot. The settlement $ will suck but its not going to be big big $ .
