Right now Nephew can't even play two straight games (or wipe his own ass) so easily Keldon

It's crazy how that Kawhi trade isn't looking that bad now. Poeltl and Keldon, both playing like borderline all-stars.

Ridiculous question but I guess this brings the phrase "availability is the best ability" to the forefront. It's all relative.
Replace KJ with 2 on our 2014 run. We don't win. Do that today and we are expected to win maybe they even say our role players are elite.
I hate what happened with 2 but these are facts.
since we never got a full account of his injury we don't know if kawhi will always suffer that injury, or it was a freak of nature that led to it. People cherry pick kawhi moments, which were awesome but it took till around year 6 before he could reliably lead an offense. he was inconsistent and limited until then. It's interesting to compare Old Duncan, Old gasol and prime LMA vs Sochan and poertle. there's no way the spurs current bigs are at that level, but also the rules changes make these guys much more suited than the old dinosaur bigs (sorry Tim, but without knees you would not survive in the current league)
At some point you have blame kawhi for not melding with LMA and trading the barrel for paul goerge. We've never seen kawhi happily lead scrubs, and it so hard to meet his ego.

that's kind of dumb because the main thing that tips it, is lebron. lebron was the best player at the time, so you would have to assume the team would not put keldon in the same way they trusted kawhi. They would still be a high level team. keldon would probably be on the bench and would be crazy with the coffee squad.
I’m not willing to say the Spurs won that trade just yet.
Toronto got a championship and that’s part of the equation.

Yeah, the Raps do it again in a heartbeat for sure.
But the Spurs package ended up being a lot better than initially thought. This trade has the potential to end up being the rare Win-Win scenario, if KJ can ever help bring a Chip here.
Hopped on a few Clipper forums and fans now asking for kawhi to be traded. Already missing games this year, coach lue doesn’t even have an answer whether he will practice or when he’ll play lol
