There is no war that will be more important than this, unless we're talking something with China, but then that will be world war 3 and the west will then switch to war economy. All the support now is just chump change for the west, the entire west is still on the peace time defense budgets. Most of the donated equipment is old stuff, that would be written off anyway in a couple of years.

And it's not like west stopping support to Ukraine would somehow magically jump start the world economy. The war is one of the factors behind the economy issues, but not the only one.

In fact, cutting support might make it worse for the west, as it might encourage more similar wars around the world and thus more instability and global supply chain disruptions.

The best way for the west to get back to peaceful and prosperous ways is to slap Putin and show the entire world like this will not be tolerated.

Russia is ed, they don't have long term means to drag out the war and they can't compete economically with what is 60% of world's GDP. They were planning for a short war and then a bit longer sanctions similar to the ones in 2014, what they got is much, much worse. They are desperate to find a way to win, but at this point it's just a sunk cost fallacy. At this point it's only a question of how badly will they lose, and how many people will have to die before that.

GDP really not the greatest measure since russia can continue to use its gas to acquire significantly cheaper war strategies. The Shaheed purchase from Iran is probably a game changer for them as that allows them to continue their aggression at a relatively cheap price.

That said, It’s very clear these mobilisation consist mainly of ethnic minorities. The longer they go this route, the more like an internal conflict would explode in Russia. I doubt Chechens have forgot what Russia did to them. It’s why some Chechens are fighting for Ukraine.

Gdp may not be the greatest measuring stick, but russian gdp is less than 10% of EU, or USA, and now, because of sanctions that difference is growing. You can't overcome such a huge gap. In long term russia is ed. That's why they are bombing electro stations in ukraine. They are desperate to end this war, by forcing ukraine to commit to peace talks. Thats why their paid trolls like hater are begging for peace.

I have a sneaking su ion that Russia’s faux withdrawal of the West bank and Kherson city will be met with another Ukrainian feint, and the next big push will come on the Zaporizhzhia front as Ukraine attempts to recapture Enerhodar, then Melitopol in a race to the Azov Sea that will split army groups East and South. I have nothing at all to substantiate this, but that would be some serious 4D chess
