Texas, a state where 39 percent of the population is Latino and 12 percent is African American, has closed 750 polling places since Shelby, by far the most of any state in our study. I’ve been voting for a while now. It just felt stupid this time. Like what was next? I have to dispose of my ballot before it self destructs? I’m not saying it was difficult but that it was stupid.
