At this point, it makes no sense for the LAvengers to trade Westbrick. They will have to give up assets to get someone who is supposed to help them this year, which we all know is lost. Westbrick is NOT going to net them 2 or 3 high quality 3 and D players and a 2nd playmaker, which is what the Lakers need to even be compe ive at this point. Might as well suck up that Westbrick contract.

It makes the most sense to trade away Davis for some picks and dead contracts that they can buy out. However, they are projected to be over the cap this year and again in 2023-24 (let me know if I misread), and if they were to get rid of Davis for cap room, they will likely have to lose assets as well as every single team with cap room are teams who are rebuilding and have NO use for Davis. I also cannot think of a team to trade Davis to that has these dead contracts and willing to give up draft capital. Perhaps Nets with Irving? But then a market like LA will NOT accept someone like Irving. Simmons's contract is even worse so it makes no sense for the Lakers to trade accordingly. No team with cap room would want to take on Davis without taking on some future rebuilding assets (read picks). Davis, at this point, can only be useful on a contender type team, and none of those teams have the capspace to take him on, nor attractive enough draft considerations for the Lakers to bite. Harden is a possibility but I am not sure why 6ers would bite.

Beverly is only on the books for another year, so he can be traded early next year as an expiring.

Nunn is just way worse than anybody ever envisioned, no idea what the happened there. Just suck up his contract and count that as sunk cost.

The Lakers should pretend they are making trades to send out signals to their re ed fans that they are trying to improve, but in reality just deal with the crappy mistakes made over the last few years.

Lebron should be available as well and they should only try to get back draft capital and capspace in a few years.

This year, or even next year is so far gone as they are in luxury cap space anyways. They may not be able to shed too much salary and any attempt to give Westbrook away to a team with cap space (say Spurs) would result in losing draft picks. Given how rich the Lakers are, might as well suck it up and take the financial hit this year.
The Knicks make the most sense if it comes to it with Davis.

They can build numerous packages around some combination of Randle, Robinson, Toppin, Quickley, Reddish and they have tons of picks.

James pulled his thinking part (groin area) and Fakers lost again. Now 2-9. How bad can they go?

I don’t quit … I just bide time. But I’m gonna be collecting a lot of time. Not much to say we sold our soul to KLUTCH sports for dat bubble ring … but with Kobe dead and gone that was all that mattered to me at the time. We got 17 now I’m just rooting against the Celtics outside of Tatum.
To enjoy real hoops I’ll watch Grizz bucks pelicans / cuz we trash watching the Lakers is like a mercy screw right now.
you can't sell out if selling out is your whole integrity.

    Hey Novarro,

Did you find it ironic that Ham pulled Westbrick from the final possession after Westbrook had just hit a trey?

Huh? I thought you were stationed in CA.

Anywho, ironic in that for the past 6 games Westchuck has been shooting well and getting assists at a good rate. Last night he drilled a trey to give the Flamers a 114-112 lead with 2 minutes to go.
I thought Ham pulled him after that.

Recheck of box shows Ham did leave him in. He bricked a 10 footer (can't remember if it was a good fg attempt or not and I aint going back over the recording).

My bad, orgiaallyl i thought Ham pulled him after his last made trey.

That having been said, it looks like Ham did pull him for the final minute. Hold on, I'd do you a solid and look at the vid. Seems like he did have a pathetic zero effort on defense in the last minute which is when Ham pulled him.

    D'Oh!
Thought i might have recorded the end.
    Did not. Sorry.
Possibly Ham benched Westbrick after a sorry defensive effort. Even tho he had a good shooting game (4-7 treys) and the Flames needed a trey.

I would call that major coaching progress. Of course he's waited wayy to long to call out Bricks D, but it's a start.

He's done in 14 games what Vogel didn't have the balls to do in 82. Baby steps, but progress nonetheless
