I hear you but at the same time why isolating Argentina, Brazil and south korea as being the only pure of naturalized ? I don't know for other NT but again for France we have just for this WC a couple of non born in France who immigrated at 2 y/o raised and trained in France, there is no ethic debate here. Now if we are talking other sports for instance in the case of France basket and the idea of naturalizing Embiid yeah that's weird, dude does not even speak French and never put a foot in France.
USA do well ? they will probably finish last of their group.
Looking at the Group I think the most interesting one other than germany spain will be F group imho. I see Croatia finishing first tbh... with a war between Canada, Morocco and Belgium for second place. Belgium is not gonna have an easy life in this group. Brazil group is going to be great... Switzerland and Serbia are no joke. Then unfortunately the surprise group might be D group, I can see Denmark finish 1st then France struggling for second place with a possible France/Argentina next round. At this point I don't expect much of France. The first game it is likely that France will start without Varane and Benzema who are still not training with the group... there is a smell of ugly tie with Australia then defeat vs. Denmark then a muerte game vs. Tunisia.
France will play first game without Pogba, Kante, Varane, Benzema, Nkunku and Kimpembe.. with Varane, Benzema coming back second game without rythm.. :/
- Well, Mané is out, so there is that
- Cameroon , eeeh Idk man, not sure hw they qualified for this WC in the 1st place ....Oh I know, we dominated them in both legs but missed sitters tat came back to haunt us in the last seconds of the 2nd leg...oh well
They also couldn't beat teams in international friendlies, and I'm talking countries I didn't even know had football teams
But.... they are strong between the ears, they don't panic, that might be their saving grace
- Morocco looks good on paper, we'll see; they canned coach Vahid a couple of months ago because he is an ultra-disciplinary hard ass and stopped calling up Ziyech for something that's not a big deal; Ziyech is back with the NT but given his limited playing time in Chelsea we'll have to see if he is ready for the WC
- Ghana has interesting players and Inaki Williams will be going the WC, but their new coach seems to be out of his depth
- I don't know anything bout Tunisia; we beat them in a friendly last year in Tunis and they didn't look impressive but things may have improved for them since
This is just another day in Africa
Africa has great talent but the consistency sucks.
Juat hope being close to Mama Africa will help them
Who gives a ?
ing socially inept drunk s
You're not rooting for Colombia?
Oh wait![]()

yeah i just heard on the radio those 4 teams were the only ones without foreign born players and was surprised the list was so short. Im sure if we compare say 2002 vs 2022, the number of nationalized players must be at least 2x if not more, though some countries have always done it.. I dont know the specifics of every player and their background, i wouldnt consider thurams kid italian for example, I just have a lot of respect for say saudi arabia vs qatar, playing with their own players vs throwing money/ passports to be more compe ive. argentina and brasil are in a league of their own in terms of producing players, france is up there too but many of those players are the result of colonial history+immigration/clubs betting on young foreigners and nationalizing them at a very young age.. for argentina and brasil immigration obviously played a big role but not having that colonial element to it makes a big difference IMO, and at this point we are talking 3, 4, 5th generation vs 1, 2, 3rd..
Cash is Polska's only foreign born
"It is a tale that reflects part of Poland’s turbulent history and explains why a Slough-born 24-year-old who speaks little Polish will be fulfilling a long-held dream when he wears the country’s colours. “It’s quite a crazy story really, a bit complicated,” says Cash as he begins recounting how his grandparents ended up in England."
We are one of those examples of a player settling for us because he couldn't crack the British team. He's taking language courses. Seems quite wide eyed by the whole experience. His goal celebration against Holland seemed rather emotional. He will forever be in Polish record books.
I remember back in 2012 when we hosted the Euros we had a few "plastic poles" and after the Tournament they never appeared again except for Obraniak.
In terms of foreign born there was a big gap between then and 2002 when we finally qualified for a big Tournament since 1982. Olisadebe was the leading scorer and instrumental to the teams success. He has since started a family in Poland with Polish woman.
Maybe I'm being hypocrit but to me it's a numbers thing. These types of rare examples can be used to help change cultural norms/prejudices. When you are using it as your means to win trophies I think that is harvesting. It should be the exception not the rule. Foundation should be native with new ingredients sprinkled in.

Will you be wearing your “white power” t-shirt?
I don’t see any problems if the federation accepts the player and he wants to represent that nation, tbh.
Apologies for Lewa getting ambushed by one of our most stupid reporters, tbh...
