Nice to see him back and should start taking that PG minutes soon. I’m really nit down with signing AI. I rather our youngsters step up to fill the score boards, Malaki, Collins, Bassey, Toby, Langford and soon Blake.
Gonna be great getting these young guys minutes

This is good news! I feel like the team gets energized with his quickness whenever Pop subs him in
I want Blake back, but I don’t want the team energized and causing some costly wins![]()
Doubt he adds to winning but he'll at least be fun to watch!
Yeah, Blake’s lack of shooting is not pushing the needle towards any wins, but hopefully he gets experience. He and Sochan splitting time at point guard should be a developmental priority.
He has a TS% of .743 and an eFG% of .778.
Jump shooting.

In a sign Blake Wesley could be making his return soon after being sidelined since late October with an MCL sprain, #Spurs have assigned him to Austin along with fellow rookie guard Malaki Branham. They are expected to return to the Spurs for Wednesday's game vs. Portland.
I don't get the point of assigning them to Austin just to yank them back tomorrow. Get them practice driving?
Austin has practice scheduled today, main club don't.
sounds like he's really making great progress. good to hear.
Thank goodness. Get back soon, rook!
Well the Spurs where doing pretty good before losing Wesley and Primo...
Blake plays hard and sometimes that’s what it takes to get others started
Can't wait for this return.
Blake needs mins to polish skills
Per report
Will play in Mexico City game
Blake Wesley and Malaki Branham have been assigned to the Austin Spurs and, along with Dominick Barlow, will be available for tonight’s game in Mexico City!
Can’t wait to see this guy play with the big club again and getting the experience.
Both he and Malaki really need reps with the baby Spurs.
Yeah, both played poorly against Mexico they definitely need to spend way more time in Austin

Blake Wesley said his knee held up fine in limited action tonight due to a minutes restriction. He said he'll be headed to Vegas soon for a few games at the G League Winter Showcase before rejoining the Spurs in either New Orleans or Orlando later next week.
Agree. I’m just happy that Blake is back. I read that he put it about 6 lbs of muscle. He needs to learn to finish around the rim and getting stronger should help.
While Malaki needs to get it going. He got great form but lacks confidence and aggressiveness (something Blake I’m not worried about). I liked it that they were giving him PG minutes and that could get him going with the ball in his hand instead of passively waiting for catch and shoot. I think it helped Lonnie somewhat when they tried to make him a facilitator. It wasn’t a natural fit but I think it helped his confidence somewhat. I’m hoping Malaki just learn to trust his shooters touch (while even missing). Just keep shooting, and moving without the ball.

Finished with 12 points on 4-9 shooting in 19 minutes.
Blake is doing that sticking he leg out when jump shooting he needs to correct that or he is going to get another injury
