Wemby thoughts:
Do you think you could run a lineup of Sochan, Vassell, KJ, Wemby and Poeltl?
‘Damn, that’d be something…
another big game from sochan. all over the place

nah
if wemby and poeltl were both still on the roster, sochan probably just becomes the 6th man but still plays a lot of minutes. i also dno if this version of Keldon that we've seen is somebody you necessarily want starting. maybe the decreased load will help his shooting efficiency return to last years' levels... but he's been outright bad since his sizzling october when he looked like a borderline all star
if you were trying to find a guy to plug and play and "fit" with our current group, Scoot is the easier fit. but thats kind of assuming that vassell/keldon/sochan/poeltl are all starters on a winning team, something i dont think anybody should be convinced of. but... a future starting lineup with
PG - Branham - Vassell - Wemby - Poeltl
and a bench featuring Wesley/Keldon/Sochan could be somethin. "could" is doing a lot of heaving lifting there. depends if branham/wesley can live up to some of the potential we've seen

Sochan 10 pts in the 3rd Q, 16 overall
Excellent start to the 4th OKC.![]()
Interesting. Keldon had an abysmal November but his numbers are much better for December but the shooting still hasn’t been where we would like it to be.
If Sochan becomes a league average shooter next year, think this lineup has some sneaky two-way potential, even if it is some what situational (and relegated to the fantasy/dream sphere atm).![]()
the descent for 14%
no Spurs no
I have come to the conclusion that I don't want Brett Brown to be the coach of the Spurs under any cir stances. He's just awful. Even Duncan was better, and he didn't even want to be there.
Our defense is just awful. Even teams that deliberately tank has better defense than us.
Obviously I want Wemby, but would be awesome to get Scoot if not. This would be a solid core:
Scoot - Vassell - KJ -Sochan - Jakob
And over next 2 years upgrade the 3 via draft or trade with someone like a DeAndre Hunter.
yet another close game for 3 qtrs, down 2 to start 4th, lose by 16 in 4th qtr collapse
I've got a sneaky feeling that the Spurs wouldn't pick Scoot if we was available.
No red flags per se, but well, once bitten- twice shy...

...One of Scoot’s favorite books is Seth Godin’s Purple Cow,given to him by his eldest sister, Diamond, who said she sees so much of her brother in the book. On the surface, The New York Times bestseller is about business and marketing, but it’s really about standing out. Being a vibrant, purple cow in a pasture of boring, brown cows. The purple cow, Godin writes, dares to be remarkable, to take risks. To be something so extraordinary that nobody has seen it before.
Man, that book sounds incredibly stupid.
Wash, rinse, repeat
Your choices are Brown, Messina, and Boylen.
go
Honestly this is the ideal model for every game. Compe ive few quarters to see the young guys exert themselves. Secure the L for the ping pong balls
Charlotte is letting their game slip away from them too.
Oh . Boylen would probably get the least rope, and it's okay to forget Kawhi's on the team now seeing as he isn't. I'd have to go with Jim to lead the tank for a year before a real coach comes in.
That is how to get a muthafkin L!!!
Excellent execution in securing the L.
You def can and prolly should play a Wemby/sochan FC in today's NBA, if you ask me, forcing other teams to adapt vs. such a versatile, shooting/playmaking combo.
Victor is also the ultimate rim protector, independently of his frame thanks to his defensive instincts and crazy wingspan... All he has to do is pick the right spot and basically raise his arms...
He and Jabari Smith are going to make quite the duo.
And Snyder
I can see why spurs were rumored to be high of Jaylen Williams. Really impressive rookie.
ST's own DJ first called my attention to Jalen (UC not ARK) and then he was a combine climber in the most purest sense. Meteoric rise. His combine play squarely put him out of the Spurs reach by bringing so much attention to him. I wish him the best as he appears to be Spurs material on and off the court
