GOP platform: "own da libs" at all costs
The FOX news they all watch will run with this forever.
There is almost zero on actually governing. And the issues, like immigration that they do want to take on, involves super simplistic ideas that bang head on into all sorts of problems. Flying illegal aliens to Camila Harris solves zero. But it makes them feels good.

At least one republican who is a McCarthy vote went home back to sweet Texas and won’t be able to vote.

    There may be more.

Yup. Aside from the abortion crap, today's non-neocon GOP policy is majority opinion policy in the USA, from draining the swamp with term limits (maybe 12 years maximum for anyone in Congress -- 2 senate terms and 6 house terms, but no more of each for any individual)... energy independence, border security, net zero immigration, cutting government spending... too bad they are terrible at winning elections and actual procedural tasks at governing.

Funny thing is is that the Bush era GOP policy was and still is minority opinion policy across the USA (more wars, more big oil pandering, spend our way out of debt, increase deep state power, let's hand out green cards to boost big tech etc) and yet Bush's GOP kept winning elections until the chickens finally came home to roost in the great big blue tsunamis of 2006 and 2008.
ROFL the GOP's only policy is tax cuts for the rich and for corporations to blow on stock buybacks.

As a citizen of this country -

when i see this show and democrat after democrat make a speech and

REFUSE to call out the traitors across the room - I am disgusted.

I want to see a democrat include in his speech/nomination -

    this:

    1) the traitors across the room tried to destroy our democracy on Jan 6th and this is just another coup attempt from the inside
    2) the traitor they are nominating -
    a)supported this insurrection
    b) was complicit in this coup attempt
    c) refused to hold accountable the traitor in chief coup leader
    d) congratulated the attackers of the capitol and called them "patriots" and/or refused to discipline his members of his party who did so
    e) finally - take a look at the traitors across the room who STILL profess falsely that the 2020 election was stolen or was nefarious or that there were "irregularities" which are all 100 percent complete lies -
these traitors continue to lie in the face of the american people -

at the very minimum...the above NEEDS to be told to the public...

    weak, pathetic, dems as usual.

Now for a second - just imagine the DEMS and their president had attempted a coup - does anyone believe - FOR ONE SECOND -
that the GOP would not be gaslighting/pearl clutching/finger pointing/ and going ham on the coup plotters had this happened in reverse?

    Disgusting.

That's for later, you do that you unite them against a common enemy instead of arguing amongst themselves, which is what they want. They need a boogeyman to fight because they have no platform

You're thinking of the GOP circa 2007ish. The old swampy GOP that the new right has been trying to get rid of.

    Yep.

Looks like the Dems' fun in the sun is over. Predic now up to 73% chance for speakership for McCarthy (was in the mid-30s yesterday):

Matt Gaetz acknowleges McCarthy is a great fund raiser but that should not earn him speaker of the house.
    Then...

    https://twitter.com/nickconfessore/s...-1234656547%2F

Promptly asks cons uents for money because he WILL earn it. By getting rid of McCarthy.
So its not about money for Gaetz but he needs money.

Why does hypocrisy "sneak" BLATANTLY by conservatives so often?

dems probably want McCarthy to be speaker.

He’s not going to have a fun time in there. He’s literally gutted his own speakership powers. Cuck

You are totally insane. You seriously think Trump tried to get rid of a swamp by hiring family and friends to get paid high priced government jobs?
Where the fk have you been? Do you know what a swamp is supposed to mean in DC politics?

Cronyism, nepotism, no term limits, big government control over the masses, strong big government, strong deep state, fighting foreign wars etc.

    No not really...

    corruption

And that basically is accomplished by your first two. Big government is very prevalent in Northern Europe. But the corruption part is watched very closely. Because they have a strong press which gets involved in rooting out corruption. You had zero mention of the importance of a truthful press to dig.
So you basically think Trump tried to root out corruption in DC?

    I'm not a Trump apologist.

Trump really jumped the shark big time in 2020 but he honestly jumped the shark for me in 2017 when he uttered the same neocon anti-Assad propaganda regarding Syria that's similar to the current disinformation about Ukraine.

I will say though that Trump was dealt a difficult hand, from the lies about 2016 election fraud (the OG Big Lie fwiw) to the Mueller stuff and impeachment hoax to being a one term president and having to fit all of that into 4 short years, shortened even further by the covid crisis. He couldn't get much done during his 2 years of trifecta because of the investigations clouding his presidency, and that was largely the fault of the Dems and liberal government-funded private-sector attacks and social media attacks on Trump that prevailed through his presidency.

Either you are one gullible disinformed and misinformed victim of your own idiocy...

    or

a liar who just willingly spewed those lies ^ above.

Why is truth not important to repukes like you - I will never know.

Trump was assisted by russia in the 2016 elections. Trump willingly accepted an enemy country's assistance even though that enemy was attacking a usa citizen - so trump chose russia to receive help

over defending our election/another us citizen/democracy

Mueller laid out the facts of all the instances of cooperation and conspiring with russia and pussied out in concluding that ALL ery from trump and russia - equaled a conspiracy -
(does NOT mean they didnt collude/conspire - it just means he didnt have all the evidence put together - due to obstruction/lying/ by trump team - but this was the opposite of a "hoax" as you lied about)

on top of those lies -

you make trump out to be a "victim" of covid -

when trump was the biggest reason why over a million americans needlessly died to his his lies/inaction/downplaying of something he bungled and maliciously handled

what a dishonest person you are

I thought this would be the breaking point. Looks like they just decided to end the charade of giving speeches and still voting no. At least those 6 or 7 remaining.
