Bum we can pick nits at every players resume especially when comparing to the best of the best.

LOL Kareem who carried his teams to .500 records in his prime as a top 3 player all time.

How are you gonna be a top 3 player all time when you can't be depended on to lead your team to 50 wins in a weak league?
Not arguing for Kareem and I think your teams success should be a factor, along with impact, dominance sustained greatness and peak performance compared to the other greats.
Some guys will fare better in some of these categories than others but dismissing Kareem completely seems silly.
And also seems kind of convenient having 50 wins as some arbitrary threshold or criteria… gee, I wonder whose case choosing that helps?!
And his team had no success when he didn't have a top 3 all time PG next to him.
Lakers: 5 game winning streak
Clippers: 6 game losing streak
Sons: 6 game losing streak
Ain't no LkrFan jinx in 2023.![]()
West are so bad this year that even lakers may sneak into the play off.![]()
Da Sp*rs won't tho![]()
Better to be in the lottery in a great draft than get your teeth kicked in in the play-in game.
Spurs are in "brick for vic" mode. I am not sure what the plan is for lakers. Are they trying to win?
Today's Spur fans![]()
Tomorrow's too![]()
Lakers always reload. Are you a new NBA fan?![]()
getting your hopes up for Street Clothes and 34 Year-old Westbrook
Were you shining shoes on the other side of the river from 2013-18?
Only if you get to keep your own pick.
All that winning lately and still just one spot above spurs.![]()
Just a lil bit![]()
Speaking of 34 year-old Westbrook
13th in the west and Hernandez is in here celebrating it like a championship![]()
I agree
It is puzzling to me why Kareem didn't dominate his early Career but I think it was a lack of motivation. He physically dominated the sport at multiple levels and let's be honest Basketball was an after thought at the time.
I might be bias but I think Kareems portfolio puts him near the Top and IMO solid #2. I rank Bird & Duncan arguably higher than others but I don't believe their accomplishments quite compare. Especially when one considers off the court influence.
Off the court stuff shouldn’t factor in comparing players
Social activism and pro athlete career are 2 distinct things, as much as I respect what Kareem has done off the court - except for being a father (on that note, Larry Bird too)
