why are they setting themselves up for this?
unresolved case of trump derangement syndrome
That or they are looking to fire Claypool.
FWIW that 30% sales tax proposed by that whacko was just dumb as . It would NEVER have any chance to pass and just gives dumb s like Boutons and the curly headed snuff queen ammunition to hysterically claim that it is Republican policy which its not. Just like "cutting social security and medicare" which also aren't policy.
What is the Republican platform?
"cutting social security and medicare"
... is EXACTLY what many Repugs want to do. Not policy, YET, but it is their objective
When Repugs House and Senate, they WILL cut SS and Medicare, and raise the barriers to Medicaid and SS disability

Sure they are. Republican jihad against the administrative state.
Government bad!
So you guys want to talk about Social Security and Medicare? Rational people know that the 16% of your salary dollars that has gone to the federal government all these years was immediately spent by the federal government and replaced by IOU's. Even if you assume those IOU's can be replaced with dollars as promised without causing more inflation they will still run out of money in ten years or so.
Wouldn't it be reasonable for our government to address this issue in a bipartisan way now?
If they don't, the only way they will be able to keep paying the promised inflation adjusted benefits will be to either raise the out of taxes on you guys or keep borrowing/printing money to pay the promised benefits causing more inflation and more negative income growth.
It seems like you guys that are going to be hit with this would want to talk about it.
That narrative is nice and all but if you think the GOP is going for anything other than tax cuts for their elites you are kidding yourself.
One thing at a time.
Chump still trying to "win".
I asked you a simple question regarding a claim you made about your political party.
If you think you're losing because of that, that's your problem.
I'll ask again.
What is your Republican party's platform?
I didn't make a "claim" about either party but apparently both parties are too scared to touch that "third rail" and will just kick it down the road. It will take a bipartisan approach to solve the problem so it probably won't happen.
Why don't you try to have an intelligent conversation for once instead of trying to play "gotcha".
Here is where you claim what is not Republican "policy":
I don't understand why you can't be honest about what you posted mere hours ago.
Damn you are dense. Neither party has an established policy to address social security and medicare.
There may be people on both sides that have expressed opinions but opinions are not policy.
Sure. I can't find any actual "established policy" regarding any issue for your party at all.
Which is exactly what I said initially that you wanted to argue about.
No, that is not what you said initially. You said there was no Republican policy regarding only two issues -- even though prominent individual Republicans are indeed talking about those policies.
I just quoted what you said. I suggest you go back and read it then start over. You're lost in your own dishonesty.
you chump. I said they didn't have a policy on social security and medicare which was undeniably true. You straw manned the rest.
If in YOUR WORDS they don't have any policies then they can't have a policy on social security and medicare.
I didn't straw man anything.
I never disputed your party had no policy on those issues.
Your party has no policy on ANY issue -- so the policy initiatives from prominent individuals in your party have much more weight. Prominent individuals in your party indeed have policies concerning social security and medicare.
Or do you want to lie about that too?
So why does curly and Biden keep saying over and over that republican policy is to cut social security and medicare?
Show me the quotes.
If you find quotes of his saying Republicans want to cut your social security/medicare -- that's completely true.
