I read "the flat earth spins around me like a vinyl record" in my head to Wu Tang Clan's C.R.E.A.M. song.

    Flat earth spins around me
    Like a vinyl record

What an enormous this guy is.
Some real gems from Kyrie’s press conference: “For me, personally, sitting in this seat today, I just know I want to be in a place where I’m celebrated, and not just tolerated, or just, you know, kind of dealt with in a way that doesn’t make me feel respected,” Irving said. “There were times throughout this process when I was in Brooklyn where I felt very disrespected…I worked extremely hard at what I do. No one ever talks about my work ethic though. Everyone talks about what I’m doing off the floor. So I just wanted to change that narrative, write my own story.” “I left [the Nets] in fourth place — I did what I was supposed to do. I took care of my teammates, was incredibly, incredibly selfless. And in my approach to leading, I just want to do all the right things for myself, not to appease anybody.”

Says the guy who missed ~150 games for the Nets over 3.5 seasons, mostly for reasons that were completely within his control.

    Oh, and demanded trades twice.

I'm gonna miss watching the Nets implode, but maybe he can take some of that "approach" to Dallas

All of the “psychologists” among fans trying to diagnose Kyrie…

Guys, he’s dumb. He is not a bright fellow. He’s extremely talented at basketball, but in the general way of things he has too much bone between his ears. He’s a man who, if you ask him to spell IQ he’ll get it wrong. It isn’t anything as complicated as narcissism, or sociopathy, or any of that stuff. He is just plain stupid.

Why would he wanna leave? He has a perfect team mate in Ben Simmons at Nets, they could be best buddies.

Deserves an asterisk, but a smaller one than the 1999 le.

How so? 1999 le featured a 50-game season. For context, the 2020 Lakers were 57-0 when leading after 3 quarters, en route to their championship. Like the 1999 Spurs, they were dominant, especially in the paint.

The 2020 Lakers won 7 more games than the 1999 Spurs played. That's crazy

Only other difference is 1999 was a lockout season (choice). 2020 was shortened due to a worldwide pandemic (not by choice).

    Here's my autopsy:

    1999*
    2020*

all due respect that bubble season was a completely different level than even a shortened NBA season. Look at travel amount, court advantage, no crowd intensity. Completely different, lower level of challenges to a ring. Hats off to the Champs no doubt but there is some context due for sure there.

Your autopsy!? I’m sorry to hear that. Had you been feeling ill, or was it something sudden? I hope you didn’t end it all because of despair over being unable to get rid of Westbrook. If so, I can sympathize.
