I'd take Mahome over Brady. Mahomes can do everything Brady can do, Brady can't do what Mahomes does. Brady played with a top 5 defense every year, Mahomes has never had a top 10 defense.
But the chiefs weren't gonna win. That Bucs D was brutal

Gawd if he'd only had an average defense at Tech he'd have two Heismans

Mahomes is approaching John Elway. Arguably he jumped Farve.
Still a long way to go for guys like Montana or Brady.
As far as accomplishments, sure. As far as i've seen them play and i know who is at a higher level by just watching them, no. Mahomes is something we haven't seen.
I understand what you are saying but for reference Mahomes is not even the most gifted Quarterback today.
Off the top of my head Steve Young was more athletic and accurate. Mahomes is taller and has stronger arm.
So you're going to say that without telling us who the most gifted QB is?
Josh Allen is the most physically gifted QB. He has no offensive coaching/direction, or running game and sketchy offensive line.
Oh...OK. You went from "gifted" to "physically gifted".
Mahomes is more patient, that is an underrated skill. I think knowing your coach will draw up wide open WRs at the goal line can have something to do with that.
I'm not an Allen hater by any means. But give Mahomes a technician like Diggs??? I get that he has Kelce. But Mahomes does more with less than anyone in the league. Davis would be the WR1 on the Chiefs.
Why would he need Diggs though? Open WRs isn't an issue on the Chiefs. I don't see them dropping many balls, that can surely be at ubuted to Mahomes throwing a good ball.
I personally haven't been hugely Wow'd by Mahomes. But his regular season & playoff (except Super Bowl) numbers speak for themselves. He's incredibly durable and consistent in the best offensive system - compare Alex Smith's production going from Harbaugh to Reid.
In terms of accomplishments Mahomes is already 3rd behind Brady and Montana. In terms of peak, Mahomes is the best by a distance.
Allen might have a stronger arm, be faster and stronger, but he doesn't have Mahomes arm talent. The accuracy, the touch, the crazy throwing angles.
Brady would've burned a timeout and Rodgers would've thrown a hissy fit over it.
But MahGOAT made it work.
the game was only as close as it was because the refs literally took a TD away from the Chiefs with by far the worst call of the game (Miles Sanders fumble 6)
only person who even resembles peak mahomes is peak rodgers
You don't think having a top 3 WR would make a difference? With Kelce? My point was Allen probably needs those weapons. I can't imagine him being successful with the cast Mahomes has. Hard to say for sure because Kelce is a game changer.
You are debating as if they have equal play design and caller.
What good are weapons when they are poorly utilized? Not to mention the vast advantage KC has at the Offensive Line.
I need to see Playoff road wins. I need to see a great performance in the Super Bowl.
Best team Mahomes has defeated in his career is the Jimmy led 49ers? Or Burrow's Bengals whom fell to the Rams anyway. I don't think Mahomes has eliminated a team with a Ring.
I agree he is on his way and trajectory looks great but we still have a long way to go.
Best team Mahomes has defeated are these star-studed Eagles, tbh.
This was before the SB.
Pass Rtg, Comp %, Pass TD/G and TD/INT Ratio all improved against a top end D.
People gotta stop hating and start appreciating the greatness on display.
PS: Big shoutout to Pace for not drafting him. We would've ruined him and he wouldn't be half the player he is rn, tbh.
Patrick was drafted to a Playoff team with a HOF Offensive Coach in an Offensive Era. Of the Top 25 QBs of all time, I don't think any started with a more favorable deck of cards.
If you want to crown him early on, it's entirely understandable. I'll wait and see what occurs as he is forced to shoulder more responsibility. IMO if he was as great as many are already painting him, he wouldn't have mediocre Super Bowl numbers 3 games in.
